Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach 1750 Alton Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139

"I wish id read more reviews. Surprise fees at checkout and valet fees added about 250$ to a two day stop. Rooftop was nice but closed for an event on night 1. Still had to pay for it. Room was sardine inspired. Beds werent bad. Bathroom, half a shower door and a soaked floor. No fan at all in the bathroom. If you need to use the restroom prepare to enjoy that smell for a while in the room. 20 minute walk to beach but there is a strip nearby that you can walk through for food and shopping. Loved this area. Im a huge ihg fan but this brand was terrible and is misleading and dishonest. I will not spend my money here again and i hope i can help others to manage expectations. The staff was friendly. Its not their fault the company is a money grab."

"Room is clean and quiet. But sands all over the floor in the room and shower when we checked in and got slippers. Concierge is nice and friendly. Lack of breakfast option but several foods nearby. Overall a great hotel. Definitely will come back."

"Staff made guests feel unsafe on multiple locations Upgraded rooms have no view - looks over highway and retail buildings, basically looking at a parking lot/highway Staff and front desk rude, uninformed, extremely difficult and just made the stay so unpleasant. This was also shared in elevator by other guests who unfortunately tried the hotel."

"This is our second stay at Kimpton Palomar. Really great spot and we would most certainly come back again! The staff and I mean all the staff are super friendly and helpful. From the front desk to valet. Our room was very clean and the amenities well maintained. I stayed here when I was getting married in April and again now visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday. We would most certainly stay here again. Location isn’t on the beach but during the weekend they have free golf cart access to the beach. Beach chairs and towels were included and that was easy enough to get to. We are big walkers so we even walked the 20 min to the beach and enjoyed the little work out. Outside of that, there are so many great restaurants around the hotel and there is a Trader Joe’s next door. You have everything at your finger tips honestly, Lincoln Road too. Really have no clue why there are bad reviews here. We had a great time!"

"We were in complete shock when we pulled in to find out you have to pay $42 a day to park your car. However, we got over it, had no choice. The rooms are very small, too small for more than one person, have to leave things in your suitcase to not be crowded. If you're the type that likes to get your day started with a hot refreshing shower, you won't get one here. There is only a half door in the shower, you're freezing standing there, and there is no water pressure. The pool is great area, plenty of space and beautiful view. The entire hotel is very clean. The best part of his hotel is the service. Every single employee we came into contact with was very friendly and accommodating as possible. Especially the guys at the valet parking. Over all, made the best of it, but, would not pick this hotel again."
