"Motel level old rooms. Very unimpressive. Leak in the room doesn’t help. room is old and attempts to cover that up don’t help. Not a lot of great features either. Pillows are mini, couch sized. Don’t get a room near the elevator there’s noise all night long! Update. I did get moved rooms and the second room was quieter and reasonable. Not fancy but decent."

"What a gem of a hotel in Miami Beach! What makes the Marseilles Hotel is the people who work there. They are genuinely friendly and welcoming, and make every interaction a pleasure. Danielle, who served me delicious coffee at the bar in the morning, was delightful. Our room was quite small, but spotless, and had a direct view over the ocean. The pool is a good size, nicely appointed, the Backyard Bar quite cool, and I particularly appreciated the gate leading directly to the boardwalk and the beach. The breakfast on the front patio were very good, and reasonable value given the neighborhood. It's quite something to find a hotel so intimate and friendly on Collins Avenue, and I would go back in a heartbeat."

"Just don’t. From the second we stepped in the room, there were issues. The rooms’ doors don’t fully fit the door frame, so you can hear everything that happens on the entire hotel floor at all hours of the day and night. Our thermostat didn’t work, but instead the air ran the entire time making a terrible noise incessantly. Our balcony door wouldn’t open, when that was a main selling point for me when booking. The showers take over 5 mins just to heat up past freezing, and the bathrooms are much smaller than the pictures appear. Half of the pool is shaded at all times, and the daybeds/cabanas were never in direct sunlight. We never received our deposit back when the room was left in great condition since we spent as little time in it as possible. The only saving grace for this place was how kind and efficient the attendants are in the pool and beach areas, but the same can’t be said for inside. Overall, I won’t be staying there again. If you don’t care about the condition, go ahead. Otherwise, spend your money in South Beach elsewhere."

"We stayed here at the end of December. The place was nice and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. The pool was heated and I really enjoyed how warm it was. The ocean was much cooler, but still tolerable. I gave it four stars because of the loading/unloading situation. They have a tiny spot in front of the hotel that you use for unloading. Then you have to park across the street (for a fee). I realize it's a crowded area, so not a huge deal, but on site parking would be better. The room was clean and comfortable. The styling was modern. We could tell that it had been renovated recently."

"The rooms were not very good. Outdoors are great. The room or the bathroom had no windows that opened. The bathroom had no fans either. The bathroom sink didn't work, the air conditioning did not work, the room had no furniture such as a desk or a table to keep stuff. The room service didn't try to fix the bathroom, didn't take trash out half the time. The outdoors were great - heated pool, hot tub, bar and restaurant, hammocks, games, had beach access with chairs and umbrellas. The lobby also looked very nice and had a pool table, bar and restaurant. It felt like the hotel spent a lot of money on the outdoors and ran out of money for the rooms and just threw 2 beds in the room. Also given that most of the outdoors is public access (except for the pool), it is probably better to stay somewhere else and come to the restaurants to enjoy the outdoors."
