Monumental Hotel Orlando 12120 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32821

"Didn't stay here but checked it out. It's an old resort. Back in its day this was like Disney but it's unkept and desperately needs updating and renovations. The bathrooms in the lobby still have furnishings like a outdoor facility. Out of order signs, bad smell and no paper towels. Instead a bunch of half used to rolls on sink. Guests here say it's ok, rooms are big, and they would stay somewhere else. Be aware of site u sign up with to book here, there are fees. Quite a bit extra sometimes."

"My experience at Monumental was great for the rate I paid. The building is beautiful, as is the pool area. It has seen its better days though. The hot tub was nice and hot and the pool was cold. The mattress was very bouncy and lacked support. My back was sore when I woke up. They offer hot cooked breakfast entrees. I did not eat there, so I can't rate the food. Staff is very friendly and housekeeping is unobtrusive."

"Beautiful on the outside but lacking quality on the inside. The bathtub never stopped leaking water, the toilet sometimes would not stop flushing until manually fixed. The pillows were flat which was fine but the biggest negative was that the air conditioner would not go below about 72 degrees. It did not feel like 72, it felt like 75 and all of Florida by the way kind of smells like pee sooo that is a thing. I'm probably being generous with 3 stars here but it was okay enough."

"Was told rooms cleaned every 2 days. Went 4 days without cleaning. No towels. Called front desk for towels, told too bad. Carpet has stains, beds and furniture outdated. Note was left in room on check-in asking for tips.... unless you're cleaning the room everyday and it's left spotless, let alone the room barely ever getting cleaned. Nothing more annoying than coming back to the room after a long, hot day, wanting to shower and the room still being a mess, 4 days in a row. Charged a resort fee on check-in too. Wouldn't consider this a resort. Save your money, plenty of nicer looking places in the area for much cheaper"
