Orlando Palms Hotel

"I came into town for a work event and decided to stay an additional day for fun. I check in my room. It’s February so I turn on the heater before I shower and hop in. Only to exit the bathroom to discover the heater does not work and has been blowing cold air this whole time. I tell the front desk and they move me to a room where the heat works. Unfortunately I wake up feeling under the weather the following morning so I decide not to stay the extra day and come home to my bed and medicine cabinet. However, even though I fell ill due to their faulty heat. They refuse to refund my second night when I left well before check out and they could have resold the room because the room is non refundable. I would not need a refund had the lack of heat not made me sick. I do not recommend. The elevator was also broken. I was inform that corporate had made the decision not to refund the second night and that was the end of it. Very disappointed."

"Hotel is very run down. Light over bathroom sink would flash on, then go off. Only half the lights worked. One was broken. Shower was very gross. The remote was broken previously and taped back together. Also, there is no phone in the room. No shuttle service to the airport. The pool was nice and the front area looked nice as well. The front desk lady was really nice though!"

"This place took me by surprise. After many places, I was pleased to see cleanliness, fresh renovations, a very convenient location and pleasant management. Check-in is lightning fast. The staff is smiling and courteous. The rooms are terrific. On my first visit, I was very pleasantly surprised. On my second visit I was given an even better room. Clean linens, quality furniture, fresh rooms. Everything was at a high level and deserves respect. Of course, I came here during the off-season and maybe that's why the price was impossible to refuse. But when I tried it, it was amazing. Team, thank you very much for a pleasant experience. Keep up the good work."

"Horrible treatment at the reception, specifically from Mrs. Lily, totally rude and without any desire to help the guests, I had a problem with booking and she always kept the phone off the hook and had no attitude to solve my problem, I had reserved 2 rooms for 3 people and we ended up sleeping in 1 of 1 bed and sleeping on the floor. very bad attention."

"The check in was really quick and the lobby was really nice and welcoming. The room itself was decent, older furniture and linings that weren’t new new. Clean though. I absolutely LOVED the shower head and the pressure I wish I could take it home with me. I did find ants in a couple of spots like the bathroom counter and the lamp table. I found more ants after the next day when I was gone. The bed was comfortable enough, and the ac worked great so I was able to sleep well. The outlets were a little sus but I was able to get some charge, although I have a really good charger, I wasn’t able to get a full charge as quick so I don’t think they have a high voltage. 3/5 stars but I might in the future book again just to save money for a decent bed and awesome shower (the two things I look for)"
