"Cedar Cove was what I needed for a quick and quiet getaway. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. I do agree with other reviews that the bed is hard, depending on your preference. Next time, I will bring my travel bed cushion. Also, I was there during the cooler months and I do wish they had a heavier blanket. It is still 5 stars for me for the location, peace , and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff with charging my rental car."

"I don’t do reviews. But this one must be done. I’m a business owner myself and I would not do any harm to others unless it’s necessary. Money isn’t everything. It’s the honesty. Our daughter got lax tournament in the inland part from here. We decided to stay an extra night to have R&R, we looked and decided this is the place we will go as laid back on the beach per the description, booked via Expedia. I got texts stating we can check in early. After a long morning we headed there. They informed us our room isn’t ready yet. We can use their bathroom to change. Our friends are around before their flight, we changed and we took off to Anna maria since they said no parking for us, meantime the owner Eric ran by me they gave hardly any spare parking and everything is tight. He said if we don’t get back by 4:30pm we can’t get a key. Our friends are leaving by 4, so we told Eric we will be back but to do us a favor for a call if the room can be ready earlier. 3:30pm, we got a call our room “across the street” not on the beach is ready. To my surprise they literally lied that our reservation was on the beach complex. They tried to tell me since I booked via Expedia - I don’t have the patience to listen to their excuses so I booked with Anna maria resort right away. This place can have my money. They can do all their justifications but the truth is their reservation lied. They attract you with stating you are reserving one of the rooms on the beach as Expedia or any other site stated but in reality it’s not. They have vacancy sign as we drove in but it’s a trick as well. The place must filter their reviews for a cost. And also it needs a desperate remodeling. Do NOT trust you’re getting a room on the beach. Check before you book. They can take our money. I believe in Karma. You do your homework by making sure you get what you booked. ** Edited: reply to response from the place, the owner does act as if he owns a 5 stars hotel way he acted towards me, maybe because I’m a minority. Anyhow. I had a long tough weekend with my daughter’s tournament, her club had all loses to the game and last thing I needed was the attitude, after receiving the call yes I admit I lost my cool. Why bothered showing you and advertising the rooms are on the beach and non of the pictures they showed or describes are “across the street!”, is there any anyone of us who can read or see?. By the time they called me back they changed our room after my so called cursed and berated (hey I am only human and def felt cheated), I was done with them since I paid for another place which is a lot nicer owned by beach bistro restaurant also, I should I have booked this one to begin with. My wish to this place is be honest what you list with clearly stating you also have rooms across the street and not all on the beach plus be genuine and not fake while dealing with your customers. Thank you! Apologies for my rant as I’m a human and all your actions had me lost it. Good luck with your place. Thanks for making me realize to keep my cool in the future. Ciao!"

"Hello, The location was great! the Beach was very nice and clean! If you like to feel very unwelcomed then this is the resort for you!! The room was very clean but outdated. There is a bar with drinks that no one is at and if you want to feel like you are nothing them than you can call. No one ever asked if we needed anything. We had our two little kids and I think that bothered them. The hammocks and the outside accommodations were very nice but the least friendly group of people I have ever met. We left our luggage while we went to eat since we wanted to enjoy some time at the beach before we left anf it was like the biggest ordeal. They even took out beach towels away. Overall - I would not come back."

"Had to request a different room due to very noisy A/C unit in next room. Management did accommodate. The location was directly on the beach. Have to say for the rate I was expecting a more pristine property. Tired overall. They didn’t wipe down chaises in the am so they were always wet. The tiki huts and wood stairways were rotting. My water dispenser on fridge door was covered in black mold. Cannot recommend for the price due to the overall experience."

"Fantastic location obviously! Overall room VERY Clean! Some bath towels had stuff on a few, I usually bring my own. Shower, hot not scalding. Nice Tommy Bahama shower gel. If hard hard beds are your preference, your in luck! Nespresso machine-suffice that it doesn't even taste like coffee. Would you better if there was a Keurig in the room. 3 stars because of beds and Nespresso machine. Overall 4 stars because of cleanliness and location!"
