Mello on the Beach

"Just wrapped up a 4 night stay with Mello on the beach. My wife, 2 year old Son, and I couldn't have had more fun on AMI, and a large part was due in fact to the cozy room that we had. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. There is a pool on-site, which my son loved, and we could literally see the beach/gulf from stepping out onto our front patio. A short walk to the beach. We had a few questions during our stay and staff were quick to respond. We showed up about a half hour before check-in and were let in with no issue. Rates seemed very reasonable for what Mello offers. A huge bonus was the kitchenette, which made preparing meals for our toddler just as easy as if we were at home. Also, the in-room laundry was awesome as well. I am a runner and took a few morning runs on the beach so it was very helpful to be able to toss in my running clothes before throwing them back into my travel bag. We could not be happier and will plan to return if in this area again while escaping the cold Michigan winters!"

"What a great little property! Rented three 1-bedroom units for an extended family getaway Nov. 18-21. Very smart and comfy layout and design on the rooms. Retro look but all new and modern. Lots of storage options. Loved having full-size fridge, sink, dishwasher, and washer and dryer units. Used fold out beds in two of the units - one for an 18-year-old and one for two toddlers. Both surprisingly comfortable. Property management very friendly and responsive. Liked having the door codes - no need to keep track of keys. Rooms each came with two beach chairs, big beach umbrella and cooler. Couldn't ask for a better location on Anna Maria Island. Steps away from a big beautiful beach, next door to the beachfront Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe (great for breakfast, lunch and dinner when you're not quite ready to knock the sand off for the day) and the West Coast Surf Shop, across the street from Skinny's (best burgers), and an easy walk to Publix and more. Very nice pool area with plenty of shaded seating, shower, convenient restroom, and Mello pool toys which our grand boys loved. Great outdoor seating areas ideal for hanging out together. We were able to enjoy drinks around the fire pit until 5 minutes before sunset, then stroll out to the beach for the show each night. Bottom floor units had easy access to pool/beach out the back sliders via shaded walkway, which was nice. Whole place had a very relaxed beach vibe. (Pro tip: If there's a lot of traffic trying to turn left on Gulf Ave coming off the bridge, just go straight through the light into Manatee Beach Park then follow the driveway around to the left. Goes straight to your Mello parking spot.) Thanks, Mello. We will be back for sure!"
