Extended Stay America Select Suites - Orlando - South

"To me this place says red flag. They have no anything inside the rooms. I've never stayed at an Extended Stay with no pots or pans, no hair dryer, coffee maker, etc. They're available for purchase here. We entered in the room to find roaches all over. It raises the question that why were they in there? We were told our room wasn't ready yet because it was still being cleaned... that leads me to believe they were just in there cleaning and they left the roaches behind for us. Great place to come for a cheap high because there's so much pot smoke floating around you can get a second high for free. First time in my life I had to show my wife's license also to stay here... everyone in the room has to show there ID before you can stay here?? These things all together paint a picture of the type of place this is. Obviously their typical clientele does damage and steals from the room. This tells me I'm not coming back. Was way over priced for the value."

"This place was literally crawling with roaches!!! By the time I had realized how many there were, the front desk was closed for the night. I went thru an entire bottle of bug spray & they still were crawling out of places. The air didn't work, it just blew humid air. It was too late to cancel or transfer. I almost got sick from the smell in the hallway. I can't even describe how awful it smelled. Then had an incident in the parking lot with someone sitting on my car. The front desk was extremely nice & helpful. I feel horrible that they have to work for a company/owner who doesn't think health is important to guests & staff. I'm not one to ever leave a review, but this is beyond deployable conditions to have people stay at, especially with children or pets. I tried to add photos, but don't see the option."

"Staff is always prompt to do repairs. Jessica is always working hard and cleaning the inside and outside. Tracy is always prompt to help us also. The maintenance is great. They make us feel at home. Friendly staff and we love it here been here about 5 months. No issue highly recommend this place."

"If I could give this place -5 stars, I would. First of, the price of the room was great! Less than 100$ for one night is almost unheard of in today’s economy. But, the phrase “Good things aren’t cheap and cheap things aren’t good” was the mission statement for tonight. Starting off with the evaluator, it was really grimy and nasty. The hall way carpet was a mess but I stayed positive because it’s not good to judge a book by its cover but no this needs all the judgement. When I walked into the room, it was so humid. The AC was busted and there was water on the floor near it. The room was not ready, the beds were crooked and messy and the pillows were on the desk. Yes! You read that right, they were stacked up on the desk. My mother went to see if the AC was plugged in which it was and slipped in the same water. In Florida, we need AC. That’s not up for debate. I called the front desk, the woman working was so nice but she couldn’t do much but give us a refund since they were completely booked for the weekend. I appreciated her efforts and decided to check out the bathroom before I left. Honestly, there were some spots that were missed in cleaning and I didn’t think I would want to use to it. But I lose my mind when I looked up and seen a roach crawling on the ceiling. Not a water bug, a German roach like with infestations… I had to get out of there immediately. It feels like that roach somehow told the other roaches we were leaving and they must have wanted to send us off because I seen more getting out of the evaluator. Truth be told, I didn’t even stay 10 minutes in the room and I was a little upset that I couldn’t get another room anywhere else and ended up having to drive 1.5 hours home so late. Stay away unless you would to experience this as well. The best part about this whole thing was the woman at the front desk, she was very kind and understanding and seemed a bit embarrassed about the whole thing. You have been warned!"

"This place is is completely infested with cockroaches (just look at the reviews). The floors are stained and disgusting and have a wet dog odor. I walked into my room and 7 roaches scurried across the floor, a few more ran across the cooktop (pictured). I've never in my life seen anything like it. I called down and the manager was relatively unapologetic and just said, "I don't oversee the cleaning. I'll give you a refund," which still hasn't hit my card. I have video and photos and am still deciding whether or not I want to waste more of my time calling the news and the better business bureau. I got in late and was tired and just wanted a bed, but I had to pay for another ride share to bring me to a respectable establishment across town. Honestly don't stay here it was horrific! The owner keeps apologizing to the guests in the reviews but has clearly made zero changes."
