"When I reserved my Oceanview room I made sure to send an email stating that we would not be checking in until after midnight. I also called the hotel and spoke with the front desk and had her put a note in or reservation that we would not be checking in until midnight or later to ensure the room we reserved would not be given to someone else. When we arrived at 2 A.M. I was told that my Oceanview room has been given to someone else and my reservation has been changed to a Court yard view. First I have a Court yard view from my house, I payed to have an Ocean view! The very unhelpful and rude front desk employee just simply said we gave your room away and this is what we have. I asked what good does it do to make reservations to which she replied we have no control over the rooms.. So again, why go through the aggravation to make reservations if they are not going to be honored? Exhausted from travel and now completely aggravated we go find the room they decide we can have only to realize that they have us up a flight or stairs with our elderly dog. Yet another reason I reserve ground floor oceanfront or make sure there is an elevator. The room was spacious but had been poorly cleaned. The mini fridge still had food and drink from the prior guest. Had housekeeping bothered to actually clean the room they surely would have found the set of TEETH left on the desk. We try to sleep for a few hours and then go down for breakfast that is served from 6:30-10. At 9:30 us and several other guest were told that the bar was empty and that they were not going to bring out anymore food. We were also told that we could only order eggs, that nothing else would be cooked for the bar or to order . I had to track down a cart from housekeeping and grab towels and toilet paper since the front desk would not answer the phone. Not at all an enjoyable stay!"
"Avoid this hotel! Tried to have a relaxing weekend getaway, but we should have just stayed home. To even get in the room you had to throw your body into the door to get it to open. Then the TV didn’t work. Maintenance got a picture to come up but the remote only worked if you aimed it from one corner of the room. The thermostat wouldn’t even come on so we couldn’t adjust the temperature of the room which made for miserable sleeping (I’m writing this at 2:30am). The toilet has had a chunk broken out of it and was patched back together. I could have gotten a better room at the Motel 6."
"Great location. There is just a lot of construction going on at this time, but our room was great with a great view and balcony. The room was very spacious. The housekeeping could be improved. We had to ask for washcloths several times. But all in all it is a good hotel if you want something not too expensive and on the beach"
"We got this last minute and was only able to get an outside room, but the walk to the beach was easy, there was a pool and bar out by the beach. There was rooms with balconies that overlooked the beach, outdoor showers and bathrooms. Yes there was sand everywhere, it's a beach. We did our best not to track any in our room, and shower, but life's a beach! I'm looking to book there again, we really enjoyed it. Oh, I was very skeptical from all the bad reviews, but we enjoyed our stay. When you book your room, include breakfast in booking it can save you from paying $20 per person every morning. The breakfast was great, they had lots of fresh fruit, and juices. Hot biscuits, gravy, hashbrowns, sausage, cereals, I was really happy with the food. We stayed summer 2023. Was hot, but you could rent umbrellas down at the beach, reserve them with chairs, or take your own. Nobody seemed to mind that people had their own shades. Sands was snow like. Close to fishing pier and boardwalk, not too crowded. Further east up by boardwalk, there was volleyball, kids play are with water fountains and souvenir shops."
"Originally, we booked an ocean front room but upon arriving our room was experiencing upgrades and we were given push back. They let us check in and then after arriving from dinner suddenly the “hot water” was out to the entire tower. We were swapped rooms and the room we were given was filthy! Dirt and dust particles all over the bed, couch, and walls. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone until they make the proper changes to operations. I’m currently dealing with being charged for both rooms for the one night. It hasn’t been pleasant at all. I gave this 2 stars because the night front desk clerk was nice. I’ll pay an additional $100-$150 per night to stay at a hotel that takes pride in attention to detail, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction, because this hotel was none of these."
