"Michael working at the front desk gets 10 star for his exceptional service, honesty, kindness, and helpfulness. My brother and I went around in the area for 4 hours attempting to locate a place for extended stay. We were feeling hopeless and disheartened. From the moment we walked in at the Extended Stay at 915 Harrelson Dr, Fort Walton Beach, FL, Michael understood our situation, provided us with the best options / choices, was helpful, empathetic and kind. We were able to secure a place thanks to Michael. He is not working at the front desk 24/7 but if you ask for him, he is more than willing to come help or provide options and resources to you. He knows most, if not all, people staying there. He keeps an eye on people patterns, what they do and makes sure the place is safe / secure. He always checks in on people and makes sure they are okay. Michael thank you for helping my brother and I in our time of need. We appreciate you. "I stayed there a few weeks ago and NEVER AGAIN. The lobby had lingering marijuana scent, the manager was rude and condescending and made my wife and daughter extremely uncomfortable by commenting on their clothing. I stayed there for about 2 weeks, during my stay i also overheard other guest talking about how they heard the hotel had a bed bug issue. The little short maid constantly wreaked of alcohol and i overheard her on 2 different occasions discussing drug deals with other guests in the hotel. Overall the rooms were decently clean and the staff was friendly especially Karen going out of her way trying to make our stay was amazing. It’s a very dangerous environment, the area isn’t good and my daughter wouldn’t leave our room because one night a homeless man was sleeping by the elevator. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! DON’T STAY HERE!!!"

"Had to grab a hostess room was smoked in. Smells like weed everywhere…just had 5 cops w/K9 and two ambulances. The folks selling don’t really bother until 930pm-3am when they come inside and do roller derby in the rooms. !!!!The staff is amazing!!!! But I would avoid it if you’re looking for family friendly"

"I have stayed in this hotel for over a month. Staff are very friendly and accommodating especially the hotel Manager Mr. Bill who went above and beyond. This hotel is right across Publix and Car wash, walking distance to cvs and dollar tree. I always see someone cleaning around the hotel and so are the hallways and stairs. The room where i stayed was clean, no foul smell and bugs/insect free. Room rate is affordable. Will definitely stay again."
