The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach

"Our water shut off at 9:30am the day of check out. My daughter was in the middle of her shower with soap and shampoo - I was told the water was out at the property and it would take 1.5 hours to fix. Check out is 11am. I asked for a 30 minute extension on check out, to allow her to at least rinse her soap off and was told there was strictly no late check outs. We had to leave the hotel with soap in her hair and no apologies. A simple 30 minutes wouldn't have cost too much, to at least allow for a major inconvenience."

"Our experience here was amazing! Despite the cold, we were able to relax in the heated pool and hot tub. Our stay spanned over Christmas, so we got to see all the decorations and lights and they were beautiful (LOVED the flip flop Christmas tree). Our room had a beautiful view of the beach, and was very comfortable and clean. The food at the main restaurant was amazing for both breakfast and dinner (you must try the breakfast potatoes). All of our servers and bartenders had excellent customer service. Shoutout to our bartender Mike who was sooo friendly and personable. Next time I visit the area I will definitely be staying here!"

"Waking up and seeing the stunning view of the beach was beyond amazing. The room was clean and comfortable. We were traveling with our toddler and we’re so happy that the room was safe for him to play in. I didn’t have to worry about him as he explored the room. We all slept amazing and seeing the beach view first thing made my day. We loved walking around seeing all the pools, activities, and being able to easily access the beach. The staff was kind and everything was kept clean! We enjoyed a great breakfast in the restaurant. It was perfect for our family vacation!"

"Had the best time with my family! The property is right on the beach and your able to chill by the pool and enjoy a nice drink or have drinks brought to you right in the sand. There is plenty to see everywhere you turn at this resort from live music to a bar under a waterfall. The food is wonderful along with the staff. A great place to bring your kids or friends. I recommend it 100% for your next vacation!"

"The resort is full of fun and incredible sites to see. Everywhere you turn there is beauty from the property plants to the beautiful food. Your able to go to full relaxation from the pool to the beach while enjoying music all around. It's a wonderful place for families as well as parties. The resort offers plenty of bars and amazing drinks so bring your friends and go enjoy this wonderful property!!! My family and I enjoyed every second of it!"
