"Great veterinarian. Great prices. We are breeders of miniature Dachshunds and he was recommended by a fellow breeder. He gave our entire litter check ups deworming, first shots, and certificates of health for considerably less than any other veterinarian in the Orlando area. I know because I called each of them to get pricing. He's been a veterinarian for a very long time and is great with animals. He is now our official vet. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who's looking for a good vet at a good price"
"This place absolutely filthy. The receptionist was extremely rude with a horrible attitude. Not only are they disgusting, Dr. Larkins failed to do his job and as a result killed my eight month old Blue Merle Golden doodle when she went in for a simple spay. All three of my other dogs underwent the same operation with two of them on the older side and all came out perfectly fine. After the initial shock of my puppy dying, I decided to look into the clinic and Dr. Larkins and I found that he got his license suspended and fined a couple years ago. I suggest you NEVER bring your pet here and look elsewhere, there are so many better veterinary clinics around that can get the job done correctly. I hope someone inspects this clinic with great care so that they can see how horrible of a place this is. So please do not risk your pets life by coming here, pay whatever price you need to because at the end of the day they are your babies and paying a high price is better than losing one of your babies. I don’t care about the other great reviews here, this is the truth about how this place really is."
"I took my elderly cat to Dr. Larkin's and he almost killed her. I was in the vet office with him and 2 techs as he drew blood from her chest area. One of the techs asked him if he was hurting her because she was whimpering. I have NEVER heard my cat whimper like this. He proceeded to tell the tech that, "No, she was just being a pain." Then he processed the blood and decided he was going to give her a shot of medication and he never asked me if this was ok or explained to me what he was giving her - he just did it. I left the office and felt very uneasy about the whole visit. He had given me some medication to give her at home. I started her on it and then I was out of town so my cat sitter continued the medication. When I called in daily to check with her about my cat she started telling me how unresponsive she was. I knew something wasn't right and after a while I called her back and asked her to give me the dosage of the medication. The medication he prescribed could have been taken by a 200 lb human person and my cat is 8 pounds. I told her to stop the medication immediately and I called Dr. Larkin's office immediately. He never got on the phone with me, called me back, nothing. I truly believe my cat would have been dead if I continued with the medication he prescribed. I will never go back to him again. In fact, I am surprised the State of Florida is checking this guy out. There are many reviews on here about him killing pets. Not to mention that the office is completely filthy dirty, I've never seen an office so dirty in my life. I felt it necessary to write this review because I wanted to help others to make an educated decision before they take their pet here. I wish I had reviewed him first, but thankfully my pet survived him. If you care about your pet think twice before going to this vet."
"It may not be the most updated place but Dr Larkin is a kind a patient person when it comes to the pets and their owners. He does not rush to euthanize or do unnecessary tests. We recently had a second dog put to sleep and he and the staff were kind and gentle"
