"We travel all over the country in our small class C RV. We've used this vet 3 times now, and I'm sure after the first time, I wrote a 5 star review for them. They were so helpful, thoughtful, and compassionate when our pom-shitzu mix passed away from terminal diagnosis from our vet at home. My husband was very impressed for how they treated him and his beloved dog at that sad time. They took care of cremation and sent some nice memory items when we picked up his ashes. Last year, we ran in with our yorkie who needed a refill of his meds from home. While there, they wanted to draw blood and neither of us thought it was even for a very good reason, but that's not why we gave them a terrible review and swore we'd never go back. The vet assistant tried to draw blood, but failed because she wouldn't let us hold him to make it go easier. She took him in back and stuck him 4 times, finally getting my poor sweet yorkie boy worked up so bad that he needed oxygen and needed to be put into the oxygen tent for respiratory distress. My boy never cries when our home vet takes his blood. Partly because the vet does it himself. Partly because I hold my boy which they didn't allow telling me it was against the law. But what's worse, I learned that you must use a new needle if you have to repoke him or it hurts them really bad. We left with his renewal script in hand but we refused to let her stick him again with needles. After he could relax and breathe again we took him home. This year, we again needed a script and decided to try them once more. I'm happy to report that they went out of their way to make his visit pleasant. First, they scheduled our appointment 3 weeks out as their only opening, but called back the next day, and said they had an appointment the next day so we could fill the script sooner. They let us wait in the car until his turn because he gets upset going inside since the last episode. They came to the car to bring us back. Once inside, the girl who weighed him and took down questions, was the same girl as the one the year before. She must have been new last year because THIS time she had a much better "bedside manner," and was very good answering our questions, and very gentle with our boy this time. When the vet tech needed to check him for something, she let me hold him and it went better. The vet this time was a female and she was very thorough. She noticed several things that I had not yet noticed and I thought I knew every inch of this little guy's body. 18 months ago we were told he had severe collapsed trachea, and didn't have a long time. He was 4 at the time. Now 6, and on palliative care, he's still with me and most of the time doesn't need his oxygen. This vet found a lump on his rear, a missing canine where I reported he'd had a tooth root infection last summer, and noted that he had problems with his patella probably caused by increased weight from the steroids he needs to stay alive. Though he can't have any surgeries due to his trachea problem, she offered info about a new med that could help with his pain. I had needed to have his toenails trimmed but forgot to ask until we were paying. The vet tech right away offered to trim the nails, and not only offered to have my husband hold him, and quickly cut them carefully and he didn't get upset at all. So if I give them a 5 the first time, and 5 today, but a 2 the bad time when the girl was obviously new, what's that average? I don't care. I'm giving a five today because we aren't quick to leave our boy and are very protective of him, and not only did we get great care today, but together they all earned back our trust, which isn't offered lightly. We WILL be working with them again for care of my yorkie boy."
"We are fairly new to the area and began using LRAH at the end of October for our 3 dogs (various sizes). We’ve seen 3 of the vets on rotation at this clinic, and each visit has been been great! You can tell the entire staff loves animals, and they’ve all been super patient on the phone as well as patient and tolerant when we bring our toddler with us. Our smallest pup went under care here for his neuter procedure, and they treated him with great care, loved on him, and raved about his friendliness. The vet md that performed the neuter was very thorough with us about the pup’s discharge. Definitely recommend!"
"To be clear, I have NOT taken my dog to this vet. My dog would be a new patient, and they wouldn't accept a last minute appointment for a nasty limp that he suddenly has because he wasn't an established patient. As a prospective new customer, this is concerning to me. I understand that this is a small practice, but to not even offer an emergency visit for new patient animals even for a premium price doesn't exactly scream "we care". With that said, the lady I talked to was very nice. I'm sure this is probably a quality establishment, but I hope that they read this and take my criticism into consideration. This is definitely the closest vet to my home, and it would have been very convenient to establish my dog's care with them."
"The staff here are fantastic. Our little ball of floof is always cared for here, and she doesn't seem to mind much (probably the snacks). We had a concern recently, but unfortunately, there was no opening in the schedule, so the doctor asked for a photo of the concern. She quickly confirmed the problem and got us a script for what was needed."
