"Came into the ER via ambulance. Hospital was at or near capacity so it took time to find me a bed in the hospital after emergency treatment. But I received constant updates and careful treatment til I was transferred. The staff in the ortho wing was amazingly kind, friendly and competent—especially considering the heavy workloads they were all enduring. And as an amazing side note, the food was astonishingly good! Highly rated restaurant quality! No joke."

"My husband recently had back surgery at South Lake Hospital. I have been in the medical field for over 15 years myself. We’ve also had family members in hospitals across the country over the last several years. There has been a decrease in hospital care and the quality of care. Often caused by staff shortages. I have to say South Lake hospital was amazing from checking in for the surgery, through the surgery and keeping me updated on his recovery, very thorough. He had to stay for a few days and the nurses and staff were so amazing. I also noticed as I would go down to the cafeteria or to my car that all the staff I passed seemed happy. That shows that their employers are good to them. They might be short staffed but I couldn’t tell. Also, the hospital is looking great. While I was there they had the opening of a new part of the hospital. It looks beautiful and every room was clean. I saw staff constantly cleaning the seating around the hospital and keeping it as sanitized as you can keep a hospital. My husband and I highly recommend this hospital. Also, we highly recommend our surgeon Dr. Snavely."

"I had walked into emergency on a Thursday morning at 10a and they immediately to me in - very fast & efficient. Everyone from nurses to doctors to Admin were so nice & helpful. Very thorough & ended up being admitted and spent 2 days in a room. Once again everyone was so helpful and friendly and thorough. I had nurse Joy & her assistant Angel in the night shift & nurse Jenn & Olivia for the day shift and they were all incredible and did an awesome job taking great care of me. If I had anything to complain about it was the fact that there is only one MRI machine and because they schedule it for outpatient every day and I had to wait 2 days to get the all important MRI. I suggest they get another machine just for inpatient. Many Thanks to all who cared so well for me."

"Recently had a delivery at south lake and it was a great experience! Every nurse, attending physician, doctor and staff member was prompt, courteous, and kind! From L&D, OR and PP it was excellent. I ended up having a C section and from our doctor to anesthesiologist everyone played a huge role in ensuring we understood every outcome of our stay as we prepared to deliver our baby. The level of care provided along with comfortable accommodations and meals provided was top tier. (Keep in mind, it’s a hospital not a resort. But everything was extremely comfortable, clean and the food was great!!) this doesn’t seem like a high volume patient hospital (compared to Orlando) and it wasn’t super wild or noisy which was nice. Overall, highly recommend if you plan on delivering here. I also recommend doing a hospital tour when they offer them, it provides a ton of clarity to what our stay could look like depending on the outcome!"

"I had a wonderful delivery. Everyone was so nice and made my delivery better than I could’ve hoped for. I’ve had issues with my epidural in the past and the anesthesiologist did a great job of explaining things to me and making me feel less anxious about everything. He also nailed it because I didn’t feel one contraction up until it was time to push. My L& D nurse Sara was amazing and made sure I was always comfortable. Dr. Richards is hands down the best OB there is out there. Super knowledgeable, professional and also very accommodating. She knew how important it was to me for her to deliver me and she made it work. I feel incredibly grateful to have found her."
