"Vascular surgeon Dr Parikh was awesome, talented & I highly recommend. Her staff was great except for the non medical person who screwed up my follow up ultrasound. She really upset me and was very unprofessional. However the others, Susan, Traci, Ms B from discharge lounge, ICU night RN Jackie, day RNs Jazmin, Madison, Justin were the best ever. I can’t say enough. Everyone but that 1 staff member deserve 5+ stars. Food was ugh, but expected. Great hospital , & thank you Karen from patient relations for calling & caring"
"Tampa General Hospital Lung Transplant saved my life! Dr. Patel, Dr. Qureshi, & Dr. Katlaps are absolute legends! Complete rock stars!! I was hospitalized over a month and everyone I met from doctors, nurses, patient care techs, environmental to dietary were more than professional, courteous and outstandingly caring! I can’t express my gratitude and immense satisfaction with the care I received and continue to receive here. There is no hospital better if you have a serious problem! Thank you TGH for my second chance at life!"
"In 2014 my husband was diagnosed with liver cancer. His doctor referred him to TGH Transplant Institute. He saw Dr Angel Alsina and his nurse, Ellen Nabbett. Dr. Alsina told my husband he would never receive a liver Transplant. He wanted him to take an experimental trial medicine. After reading about the medicine we knew it would make him really sick and he would die sooner. His cancer doctor then referred him to Florida Transplant Institute in Orlando. He was evaluated by Dr. KOTESH. He told my husband "I will do all I can to help you". And he did. My husband went through chemo and radiation. On July 22, 2016 my husband, Terry Hunter, received a liver Transplant @ Florida Hospital, which is now Advent Health. I would like Dr Alsina to know that my husband is alive today and doing great. Thanks be to our Lord and the doctors at Florida Transplant Inst. I am writing this to let patients know if you are turned down by TGH or not happy with them, don't give up. They have a great Transplant Center in Orlando with an amazing team of doctors. They have also provided him with excellent support and follow up care."
"Tampa General is a really good hospital. I've had to be in there twice now, for knee surgery and for heart problems and each time I was very impressed. I have met only one staff who wasn't just so very very nice to me and to family. That means to me that the working conditions are good and in a med center that's really important for the patients. If your doctor sends you to Tampa Gen, feel confident it's a good place."
