"Terrible place to Stay. I would personally give them a 0 star if it was possible. The new management came in change things quickly without enough notifications. Unnecessary charges.The are never honest, straight forward or communicate with tenent. All the new management kept asking was renew my lease when talking with her about concerning things with my apartment while living there or my reasons for leaving the place. One of worst place to be unless you have no other choice would not. WORST."

"Since First Communities has taken over this property, we have noticed substantial changes to the property, in a good way. Not only has there been positive changes, but there is a new property manager named Angela Carter. Ms Carter is not only professional, caring and kind… She is a woman who knows how to interact with the residents and exhibits a true spirit of service to others while also maintaining her position as the property manager. She is a breath of fresh air to interact with compared to what we had previously… I have lived in this community for over 10yrs. I have seen property managers and staff come and go. Not once would I have taken the time to write a positive review, which is something I do quite often for other businesses… With that being said, Ascend At Stone Mountain, is a nice place to live the staff is amazing and they are doing a great job at improving the property and living experience here. So, if this review has helped anyone who wants to check out this community, tell them Kim sent you and say hello to Ms Carter, she is amazing!"

"I lived here 3 months ago. Prior to moving I lived here almost 6 years. During those years I lived living here. No problems and quiet. Once first communities took over the management it went down. They are crooks. They did not treat the people who have been living there for years before them with any respect or understanding. My rent went from 940 to 1600 and they weren’t even going to renovate my apartment or put me in a renovated one but they wanted me to pay the renovated price. I wouldn’t recommend and just go somewhere else. They also have been through 3 managers in two years.I also want to add after they approved my 70 year old neighbor for assistance through a state program to help pay her rent for few months they ended losing the payments from the program and are now charging her back rent totaling $3500 and saying they are going to evict her. She is 70. These people are low down. Too bad Brittany is no longer the manager, she was the best!"

"Are we talking about the same apartments (Ascend)? I just drove over to take a look because the pictures look awesome; but the apartments aren't even the color shown in the picture? I saw one A/C unit in the window, propped in by a board. Spoke to one tenant who was emptying his trash and asked how he liked it there. He said it used to be okay, but it's getting kind of rowdy now. Hope management will respond to my message."

"I’ve been living here at ascend for 6 years now and it feels good to finally see the property being renovated and taken care of. There has been a big rental rate increase but that comes with renovations, the property will now be offering more outdoor amenities for residents. I am no longer ashamed of how the curb appeal of my home looks. Although this community has been through 4 property managers Assistant manager Amanda has been here for a while and is a blessing. She cares about the community and residents and is always a pleasure to work with. Listens to her residents and is very attentive to our needs. She has been the only one that will answer the phone or call back and respond to emails in a timely manners and addressing all residents concerns. I think the new owners and management first communities was exactly what this community needed at the right time"
