"The conference I attended was great. The hotel didn't meet expectations. There were no coffee cups in the room. It took 20 minutes to get coffee refilled at the catered breakfast. When I asked about the coffee cups for the room the person at the desk said you didn't have any and it was a known issue. Not acceptable at all. And at breakfast, they should have been ready with fresh pots of coffee and water. Both were out and took a very long time to replenish. The worst part was the noise from my neighbors having very loud sex until after 1:00 in the morning and the people in the hall being very loud going to their rooms after midnight. I spent two sleepless nights. The second night I called the front desk several times to complain. Security came up and banged on my door instead of the room where the noise was coming from. I wasn't about to open my door at close to 1:00 AM. In the morning I mentioned it at check out and the person at the desk said there really isn't anything that can be done about noisy guests, and that they could have tried to move me to another room. I don't see how that would have been an option in the middle of the night when the hotel was pretty much full. Completely unacceptable response. I really hope the group I was with chooses a different hotel next year when they schedule this event. I plan to share my experience with the organizers and will do everything in my power to have the event held somewhere else."
"We had a great room and a fantastic experience. The room was clean with a beautiful view of the lake. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. It's worth noting. You do have to pay initially to get into Stone Mountain, but the resort gives you a pass for the rest of your stay. Also, it's a resort, so if you do your homework and a little digging, you'll find their resort fees. It's kinda standard with resorts. I thought this one was worth the little extra. Definitely would stay again."
"The location of the resort is great I'll start off with that. My room had nice view of the lake, and for the most part everyone was friendly. In terms of preparedness, the hotel was clearly not ready for us. My wife and I attended a conference with the Prince Hall Shriners. While eating in the restaurant one evening, it took entirely too long to get our food and there were clearly not enough staff members available to handle the influx of guests which should have been known/planned prior to us arriving. The pricing of food items were a bit too expensive given the quality of said food items. I've gotten better quality for less elsewhere. Also, for the price I paid for a night's stay and to not have a microwave in the room is insane. How can you in good faith charge what you do for a room and not have a microwave. It's as if you are forcing us to spend our hard-earned money on overpriced food and beverage items. Our conference will be held there again this May. I hope these issues are addressed and hopefully rectified."
"We stayed at this hotel for for 2 nights for our 35th wedding anniversary. We had a nice check-in on that Friday because the kind lady who checked us in was very pleasant. When we got to our room the curtain was torn and somewhat hanging. We tried to fix it but couldn't so we requested another room. The kind lady at the front desk changed our room with no problem. When we got to our new room the television didn't work. We called the front desk and after about 45 minutes, a repair man came but couldn't fix the television. He said he may be able to find something to fix it later. We went out to get dinner and came back and the television was still not working. We called the front desk again and the repair man came to our room again and tried several things and didn't fix it and told us to call for another repair person in the morning. We calmly went to the front desk the next morning and just asked for another room with a TV that worked. The ladies at the front desk were rude and obviously didn't want to be bothered, refused to change our room and said she would send another repairman and to go to room so that we could meet him when he got there. In about 40 minutes the repair man came and in about 45 minutes, fixed the television. We were grateful. We've stayed at the Evergreen before and never received such disappointing service. Considering what we paid to stay at this hotel/resort, the poor customer experience took time away from our celebration to deal with hotel maintenance issues."
"My husband reserved a room for an overnight, for our trip to Stone Mountain Christmas. We had an amazing lake view!! We had the double queen size room. It was kind of small but the cleanliness was good! After our long day of fun with the family, hubby and I went to the bar! That made things even more cozy and fun . The bartenders were so fun and knowledgeable on beverages. Checking in and out was a breeze. We were 10 minutes away from Stone Mountain, restaurants are within a 15 minute radius, just in case you miss dinner hours."
