"Palmetto State Properties unquestionably earns a stellar five-star rating for their outstanding performance in managing our out of state rental. The level of professionalism and commitment displayed by Courtney and the team is truly remarkable, offering not just a service but a seamless experience that has significantly eased the challenges of long-distance rental ownership. I am genuinely grateful for the peace of mind and exceptional support they have provided over the last couple of years. Palmetto State Properties, your commitment to excellence is truly commendable!"
"I began renting my condo with Palmetto State Properties this summer and was impressed by Courtney from day one. After speaking with several companies via recommendations from other property owners, I was most impressed by their offering and the service I received from them. I plan to continue our partnership as I rent my unit!"
"I wanted to share my move-in experience: The property we are paying over $4K for per month was not cleaned properly prior to move in. There was a cockroach in the master, pieces of food debris over the pantry doors and kitchen cabinets, long black hairs all over the floors, etc. The toilets upstairs were not bolted to the floors and wiggle off the base. There are multiple areas that need cleaning and maintenance updates, within the house and around the exterior as well. There was a dilapidated play set left in the backyard and a broken wooden bench. These are safety issues for my toddler. We have had the house for a whole month prior to moving in so the property management company has had plenty of time to clean properly and address these maintenance concerns. I will be reaching out to them on Monday to ask for a deduction of the cleaning services I need to order from our rent. I will comment with updates."
"As soon as me and my roommates signed the lease we were treated has a headache and not as appreciated customers. Palmetto State was very unprofessional and disorganized over the past year of my experience with them. If we had questions, they were not answered quickly and when they were answered, they were often rude to us. When it came time to let them know if we wanted to re-sign, we were constantly nagged every few days with them telling us that if we didn't give them answer right away that they would kick us out. They completed disregarded their own lease stating we had 1-month to let them know before we moved out. Shortly after the same property listed for 400 dollars more a month so I'm guessing it was all money motivated. This obviously made our decision an easy one - TO MOVE OUT!! And then to top it off, when it came to move out they conveniently did not keep track of our pre-move-in inspection that included all the problems that were present when we first moved in. Thank god I did my part of keeping email records. Last thing - when I asked for a detailed list of what was taken out of our security deposit. I was given invoices that clearly stated fixes that were not things we had broken, but instead things that were broken and taken note of when we moved in. After asking them why these things were being taken out of our security deposit, we were told that although they were on the invoices that those fixes weren't counted against our security deposit. Yet, they wouldn't change the numbers to reflects that and still took our money. Do they know how invoices work? Anyway terrible experience, if you are a home owner I would reconsider. If you are a renter, it's not worth it!"
"After reading some of the reviews on this company I can truly say I am grateful that my application was given no consideration. My initial intent was to write my review based on my very brief and unwelcoming experience with this company. I am not sure the "real reason" why I was not only not considered but not even offered a follow up option. I was told the day after submitting my application for the property at 340 Long Pier that it was already rented to other applicants. Its only logical whether an application fee is refundable or not to offer some other option or refund because submitting my application served me no purpose on a home already taken. Something told me to go and just double check the listing and all the platforms in which I had found it. Of course listing is very much still there and still active for rent. Now, here's the greater moral issue with this company. If the property is already rented why isnt it immediately removed? Next, I can't help but believe that whether true or not that maybe my race played a part, as like I said, I was very COLDLY blown off with and I quote, "Hi Victoria, Unfortunately, as it stated on our application - the fees are non-refundable." Best, Amanda Dumas Assistant Property Manager Now I am no fool, but even the most predatory property management companies have the decency to say is there any other property you may be interested in. I wanted to leave this review for the next person who may consider leasing with or even owner having them list their rental. How you treat people and their money, be it as little as $75 or as great as 75k, put some respect and kindness with it. I am very much displeased with the service I received. This companies application process is digital and if your properties already rented when a new applicant puts in an application and pays fees, that application should be stopped immediately and not allowed to proceed and line your pockets with hundreds of application fees. This is wrong, I've already reported it to the BBB, and I will be reviewing this company on every single platform. I suspect at some point a lawsuit will eventually catch up and find them for their practices."
