"I had a short term lease over the summer while I was in Charleston for school and the management staff are less than ideal to say it nicely. I was notified 2 weeks before I was planning on moving out that they had found "bed bug" activity (a few weeks prior during a routine pest inspection - yeah why wasn't I notifed then?) and they needed to do an extermination. When I asked for them to provide documentation on the location of where they found it (so I could keep an eye to see if I could see anything), they wouldn't. Following the pest control, they said they didn't "find anything", but of course I was still charged the $500 fee.... I also had to mail my keys back as I'd already moved by the time my lease was up and had UPS send them with a required signature but they said they didn't get the keys back either...another $125...Lastly, my mother overheard the assistant manager steven screaming at one of the office workers mia one evening which I don't believe she was supposed to hear as steven immediately lowered his voice when mia said "she's right outside". I'd give this place 0/5 stars if I could."

"My family lived at Central Island Square for about a year and half while we searched for a permanent residence in the area. We had hoped to be closer to IOP, but ultimately decided on Central Island Square and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. The apt is very clean, the gym is GREAT and the proximity to shops and the stadium was so convenient. One drawback is that all apts have hardwoods in the main living area which is great, except that you hear everything in the apt above you and so your experience is dictated by what type of neighbor you end up with. While we ultimately purchased a home near the IOP, I wouldn't be surprised to end up back at Daniel Island one day."

"Don’t move here! Property location is ok but the noise from the traffic and the bridge is awful. People move in and move out constantly. Retail space is extremely busy with traffic and the most ideal parking spots are used up by all the retail patrons. Staff like its residents also come and go. Delivery services are also are mismanaged. For 2 weeks we had hundreds of packages just sitting in our hallway in front of our Luxor lockers with many getting stolen. Just today I had a UPS package that was delivered to Luxor and ended up being stolen, corporate card activated, and purchases made. My company closed it out but after the fact. When you ask staff for help they try, but complain, you get the candid response. “We are not a delivery service ”. We also rent one of the most expensive units in the complex too. They could care less. Cannot close fast enough to move the hell out of this place."

"I have lived here for a year now and it has been such a great experience. The location is amazing & so walkable. I love using the bikes in the lobby to ride to the waterfront area and ride the trails at the water. Beautiful scenery and beautiful interiors. My dogs love walking around the ponds nearby and love the spacious dog park and pet spa. There’s also a concert arena right across from here that you can walk to and they have amazing events year round! Did I mention a Starbucks within walking distance? What more could you ask for?! Totally worth the price!"

"CIS is a wonderful place to live! With its close proximity to shops, restaurants and especially the Credit One stadium with the many events such as concerts and tennis! They also offer many other amenities such as weekly yoga and a monthly book group …a great way to socialize!"
