"The Ryder is a really fun hotel! Very cool design choices by the management, great bar and food, and you can reserve things for free, such as their bikes or refrigerator to your room. This would be a 5 star review, but the place is VERY DUSTY. If you're allergic or sensitive to dust, this is not the hotel for you. It doesn't seem they vacuum the floors. If they added that, it would have been perfect! Hopefully they can add that to their practices!"
"After reading the reviews, I almost cancelled. I am so glad I didn’t. I heard zero construction noise. My room was large and extremely clean. The valet was perfect. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Charleston, and this was one of the best. The only downside is the amenity fee since I never used a single thing it covers."
"This hotel is in the perfect location! There is a DART free shuttle stop directly across the street and so much more a short walk away. The hotel has a responsive staff and I found them to be friendly. The hotel's downside is that it is a bit of a maze. I am handicapped, I did not ask for an accessible room so this is not a statement about customer service. I typically don't need one or even bring it up but if I stay here again I would ask for a room close to the front elevator. If not the walk can be downright annoying when all you want to do is sit down after walking all day. There is a second elevator but you either need to access it from the garage or walk through the floors, there is no access from the lobby or 2nd floor communal areas. I also had a fully renovated room and there wasn't any construction during my visit. The construction warning when i booked was a concern before visiting."
"Cute little spot in the heart of Charleston - easily walkable to a variety of shops, restaurants, and night life spots. The courtyard area and bar (that just opened) at the back of the restaurant was fantastic! So cute & felt incredible at night. The food they're cooking outside on the grill was delicious - as were the cocktails. Highly suggest the grilled fish on the outside menu and the PREAM for a cocktail!"
