"Charming, charming, charming! An absolute gem in downtown Charleston. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. It’s obvious that this place was a labor of love for the owner. We will be back in the summer! Thank you for the hospitality!"
"My friends and I had the BEST time at The Charlestonian! Amy was great and met us at the house when we checked in to make sure we were all settled in. She also gave great recommendations for fun restaurants for our group to go to! The house was in an amazing location - very walkable. We really hope we can come back - HIGHLY recommend!"
"We rented what we thought was supposed to have been two bedrooms for a young couple and a grandmother. By the way, the grandmother so happened to have been the one that paid for the place. It was not two bedrooms, it was a one bedroom and a small open dinning nook off the open kitchen area. The nook contained only a twin sized lumpy daybed with lots of windows. The small nook had no door, no closet, no drawers, no nightstand, no curtains, no hooks for hanging things, only a lumpy twin sized daybed. Where do I put my suitcase and stuff? The second bathroom was incredibly small with the absolutely smallest sink I've ever seen, that had no counter space or storage at all. So again where am I supposed to put my stuff? Not even a chair in the whole place. It was noisy with no privacy! It wasn't comfortable, but it sure was pretty. You'll want to walk everywhere because parking is a real pain."
"Such a great place to stay in Charleston! Our apartment was big and beautiful! Kitchen had everything we’d need, bed was big and comfy, the place was very well located, just a few steps to King Street. Also the restaurant next door was great as well as the soup bistro in the first building! Plus the owner was super nice! A little con was that the floor in the apartment wasn’t very clean. I may recognized that more than other because of a crawling baby. But the rest of the apartment was very clean! We loved it there and would definitely come back!"
"We reserved what was listed to be a "Garden View". We got a basement apartment, with No View and No Garden. We were told we would have parking next to our unit, we got parking across the street and east 400 feet away. We were told the unit had outside dining area, which was in a concrete walled area completely below ground also served as our entrance. The floors were said to be hard wood (no spike heels) but we got bare concrete. The description was very deceptive and took a lot of liberty with the English language. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was reasonably equipped. Not possible to have more than two people eating at the dining area at one time, very small and tight to get seated."
