"** reply to the Hilton's reply: There were 6 rooms of the type I wanted on the 2nd floor when I e-checked in. Are you telling me that the app showed me rooms that were not available? The clerk never asked what room type I wanted when she assigned me a room. Think up another excuse ... go.** Hilton pushes their e-checkin and e-key but, after doing this and following all the instructions on their app, not only did I have to stop at the front desk anyway, they had given my selected room away."
"Upon arrival the hotel entrance was a bit confusing from my GPS. They had arrows out showing how to get to the front of the hotel. The young lady working the desk was very pleasant and welcoming . Once we entered our room , it was clean and great size room. Our room really looked like it was recently renovated. We were there for my husband birthday weekend. The location was great as well. The hotel itself was quite even though it has a bar in the front of the hotel. Great location a restaurant/ lounge nearby. For the ladies who love to go shopping, this is definitely the place to be. The only thing I would suggest is that they the customers know upon arrival that you have to pay for breakfast. The complimentary items are coffee , cereal/ milk, fruit. Anything else that off the hot bar you have to pay for it. Which most people would not mind, if we know in advance.Kevin during checkout was had a pleasant and friendly attitude. All around great experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone ."
"Came here for a quick little Charleston vacay after the New Year. Despite previous reviews, our check-in and front desk experience was exceptional. Clean quiet rooms. Lovely lobby area. About a mile from the Ravenel Bridge. Close to grocery store and plenty of places to eat. Front desk ladies recommended Page’s Okra Grill and it was some of the best food I’ve eaten in a long time. This hotel definitely lives up to the Hilton reputation."
"We stayed here over Thanksgiving and it was perfect. The room was recently remodeled, well appointed, and quiet with a good mattress. We appreciated the refrigerator and microwave and the option to buy snacks. Their service was great, especially when I left an item and had to have it mailed to me. Susan was especially friendly and efficient in getting it returned to me in a timely manner. This will be our go-to hotel when we visit Mt. Pleasant!"
"I am an avid & loyal Hilton gal, but this trip kind of bummed me out. We were here on a Hilton Grand Vacation, so there isn’t really room to complain when It was *free,* but I want other guests to know what to expect when they are *paying* for their stays. The beds are less than comfortable - too firm and almost feels as though they are at the end of their life cycle. The manager on duty when we checked in was not very kind. We had just made a very long drive from up north and It was not the pleasant greeting a Hilton honors member should receive. The app wouldn’t give me my digital key, so I had to check in physically (which is usually fine!). The app had already charged my credit card and she was trying to get me to pay the fee again because It wasn’t showing up on her end which is obviously the fault of the system, not mine and I was made to feel dumb which is not how I wanted to start my vacation. When we arrived to our room, the digital key lock covering fell off just by opening the door which looked to be an issue on most doors in the surrounding area. The flusher on the toilet was very difficult to work and needed 5-6 tries before It would actually flush. The final thing that pushed me over the edge was when we checked in we were told that housekeeping would need to be requested during our stay if we wanted It. Which was fine - because we didn’t need/want It. However, we came back to our room on our 3rd day and It had been entered & “cleaned.” The bed was changed & made and the towels were replenished. This would have been fine, However, I was told that no one would be entering my space unless I asked so It felt weird to enter the room and see that people had been in It. It felt of a small violation of my privacy as I didnt secure some things I would have had I known people were going to be in the space - so overall, I am very disappointed in this hotel experience. The gym was nice though!"
