"The location of this hotel is perfect! Right in the heart of the historic area, and within walking distance to most of the restaurants and shops! The staff could not have been any more friendly and accommodating! The rooms were on the small size, but it was very clean, with a small well equipped kitchen that had everything you needed to prepare a meal, with a two burner stove, and a much larger refrigerator that most hotels, it even had a dishwasher! The beds were not very "Back Friendly". The only negative was the lack of room cleaning. They advised us beforehand that there would not be any room cleaning on Christmas Day, and that is understandable. But there was NO room maintenance the entire three day stay, and we had to ask for clean towels. Be prepared to pay $25.00 per day for parking, but its worth it, considering parking in Savannah is the biggest negative about visiting here, and expect to deal with a large number of homeless."
"The rooms are very tired. When we arrived our kitchen floor was dirty and the bathroom was not clean. It had pink mold. It was Christmas Eve so I understand having less cleaning staff available. The day manager and desk staff were very polite and nice. I think they are doing the best they can. Nonetheless I probably wouldn’t stay at this location again despite the excellent location minutes to walk to everything in the historic downtown. I stayed with a pet. Update: The staff tried to clean the room and did change the bed. But frankly the bathroom needs to be deep cleaned and truly renovated to be get it in shape it could be kept up. It’s turned me off IHG hotels and I booked a different chain that I’ve been happy with for my next stay in a few days in a different city (that doesn’t let their 2-3 star hotels get so run down)."
"Nobody asked me to write this review, and I didn’t receive anything to write it. I just want to give my honest feedback because I do not have enough nice things to say about the comfort of the rooms, the impeccable service, the friendly and helpful employees, and the perfect location. If you are visiting Savannah, I highly recommend Staybridge Suites We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. My room looked out onto the river, the hotel staff went out of their way to be warm, friendly, welcoming, and over the top helpful to make your stay memorable. The beds were among the most comfortable I ever had in a hotel, the sheets were silky soft, and the pillows were glorious. My room had a little kitchenette with a dishwasher, microwave, kitchen range and a refrigerator and the glasses, cups, pots and pans to do any cooking you needed if you have an extended stay. My room had a wall of plantation shutters which was classy old South charm, and also for lovely filtered light in the room. The lobby is decorated beautifully with a long gas fireplace a Christmas tree with exposed brick and there is a bar with a friendly bartender, serving cocktails, beer, and wine. There’s a little pantry in case you forget your toothbrush, or need a bottle of wine, snacks or drinks, etc. The breakfast in the morning is thoughtful and changes daily. It is a higher quality than your normal hotel. One day we had biscuits and gravy with sausage and cheese pre-made omelettes. The next day was bacon, boiled eggs and French toast sticks, for example. There are also bagels, toast, muffins, pastries, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc. I would definitely stay here again, and look forward to it!"
"Just spent 4 nights at this hotel. Excellent location, easily walkable to most Historic District shops & restaurants. Our room (402) faced an inside atrium - no outside window - which I didnt care for. Room itself was clean & comfortable but bathroom could use a refresh. Decent complimentary breakfast with all the usuals. Front desk staff were friendly & helpful. No issues with cleaning or new towels daily. Would stay here again based on location."
"Our first vacation in Savannah, GA. We got here super late on a Thursday night. The guy up front was very helpful- the person who prepared our room keys before him, booked us in an occupied room. Good thing he knew to check before we walked in. So when he changed our room it also messed up our parking ticket. In conclusion of that, the guy with braces served us great service. The room itself has a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, sink, oven, and dishwasher. The shower is a decent size and they provide Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Our bathroom sink had dove soap bars and face wipes! My only 2 “complaints” would be there is no fan so the room is almost silent and our window is of the inside seating area and you can see all of the floors. I would prefer a window to see outside, but not mad about it. You get complimentary breakfast and they do have an area to buy snacks and drinks. The common area is very pretty and clean! Location is a very great area! Edited to say that we visited again this past weekend 11/03/23 for another stay! Very satisfied with our stay! This time we had a city view. Pet friendly for $75!"
