"We never stayed in a place dirty like this. You can see on the pictures that we took on the arrival. After hours traveling with a baby the only thing that I was expecting from a Marriot hotal was a clean bathroom and a comfy bed. The bed was ok, but everything else was a mess. At the time we arrived in the room we called the front desk and told them about our room conditions, but no action was taken. She told us we had to wait until the next morning to talk to the manager. I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen with baby wipes that I had in my baggage. The manager didn’t reach out to us either in the next morning, we had to stop by again and ask them to please clean the room. We will not be coming back."
"Hotel is nice, staff is AMAZING! They are very accommodating and the reason to stay here. Rooms are nice, kitchen/living room a bit small and pull out uncomfortable but bedroom is a nice size and pillows comfy. Carpeting needs updating. Bathroom tub is not for those unsteady on their feet. It’s weird in the fact that the sides have a ledge, it’s not a completely flat bottom and kind of uncomfortable to stand in. Whoever thought this was a good idea did not think it through. It’s a safety hazard for those with balance issues, foot problems etc. I attached a pic but it’s hard to tell from it. Breakfast was good, had mini waffle makers and lots of options for oatmeal, yogurt and eggs along with drive cereal. I would stay here again as it’s a short drive to downtown Savannah"
"So I have been a platinum member and I have been only staying with Marriott but this hotel stay made me switch to Hilton. Really poor staff manners, stinky rooms and hotel, old stinky pots and pans. I was put in handicapped room since no room was available which is fine I guess if no other room available but I requested if anyone checks out let me know so I can change room. Front desk refuse to even consider and straight up said we don't know. Room had bare minimum light broken filthy couch, really rude front desk staff. I told her mom had allergies and triggered from the filthy room not sure if its carped or what Her response was what do you expect from residence Inn!!!! Overall I don't think j can stay with Marriott brand anymore as having continuous issues with hotel brands"
"The 3 stars have nothing to do with the staff. They have been fine. The place needs updating badly. As an example, at least 2 electrical outlets will not hold a plug in place. The bathroom door will not latch, the couch was worn out years ago, as were the dining chairs. The rear entrance has no handicap parking, and no curb cut for wheelchair access. You have to lift the luggage carts over the curb. Being an emergency and normal point of egress, I might believe that this situation does not comply with acceptable standards. There are barking dogs on occasion. The floors are not the least bit soundproof. The guy above me brought his Ninja high performance blender for his morning smoothie. It sounds like it is in the next room. Breakfast is too repetitive, how about throwing in some hash and potatoes? On a good note, the staff is fine, the water is wet and the ice cubes are cold, the bed is comfortable and the room is clean. I would stay again, but probably not long term."
"My experience started pretty rocky here. As I was checking in, I needed a document printed off and the front desk associate had no idea how to print a document from her computer after I sent it to her via email. She kept going on about how her printer is messed up and won’t print. It took so long and it got to the point where she asked me if I wanted to give it a shot to try and print it. You know what, I sure will. I walked behind the desk, got on her computer, clicked a few buttons and what do you know… the document printed. Am I that tech savvy or is the front desk associate just clueless on how to print documents? Anyways… I was grateful for the early check-in as it allowed me to get ready quicker and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. Not sure why the dishwasher was on when I walked in the room but I didn’t really care since I was not using it for my stay. Breakfast in the morning is what you’d expect at a Residence Inn. Nothing to brag about but something to hold you over until lunch. At checkout I had yet another rocky experience which really left a bad taste in my mouth for the entirety of the stay. I asked for a late checkout and the front desk did not want to accommodate. Normally it’s no problem but with my Marriott Bonvoy status I’m guaranteed a late checkout if requested. They kept saying that they are sold out and can’t accommodate a late checkout. Well I’m so happy you all are booked enough to be sold out but I’m still guaranteed my late checkout. What’s the point of working so hard to obtain a certain status to be granted these Marriott Benefits and you can’t use them? Don’t be upset with me for using my benefits. Be upset with Marriott for creating the benefit. After all said and done, my short stay was one I’d like to forget. This was not what I had in mind when I came here but you know what… you live and you learn. Next time I’ll pay a higher price to stay at a better hotel. Good riddance!"
