"Extremely unfriendly apartment complex. Installed locked gates everywhere forcing elderly people to walk all the way around them rather than a shortcut through. Yet they are taking advantage of the social facilities from neighboring complexes."

"It sucks"
"talk about telling the truth, coming clean, a history of corruption: the latest revelation from management is how the previous managers and TV employees were using the corporate debit card account to fund all their social activities, such as birthday parties, use of Uber,Amazon, stub-hub,daily lunches, office parties, and many un-authorized purchases. even "college tuition" is on the list.Just what was that about?????????????? did anything ever happen to any of these people? were they arrested, charged, imprisoned for theft? well, now,we have a new situation. the NEW managers have issued an almost endless list of fines that residents will be charged for violations of the privilege of living here. for example, if you have a delivery and the "wrong" door is use ,there is a $200 fine. Two hundred dollars for using the wrong door. What is the "right" door? the door they say it is. and is $200 enough? why not make it two thousand dollars? How much fine is there if the occupant of an apartment refuses to allow the security guards and super to inspect their apartment because there was a flood in the apartment above(or below) because of burst pipes. why do the pipes burst? an illegal installation of a jacousie or washing machine, most likely. But the resident won't open the door to an inspection. What does the Board of Directors do about that? who knows???? Is it right to fine someone $200 for a delivery service using the "wrong door?" Yet, the management and Board of Directors refuses to re-imburse a resident a few dollars if they have to use the ICON parking lot for a few hours, because the construction company has to close access to the parking lot after 8a.m. Yes, construction is ongoing,of finally replacing worn out and collapsing balconies. The old management was told for years to Fix IT,but they didn't. I guess they were too busy making parties.so they paid thousands in fines, and the cost of scaffolding around the buildings, when concrete started to fall from the balconies. Now access to cars in the parking lot is closed after 8 a.m. where the balconies are being worked on. But, the management refuses to re-imburse the resident who had to pay for use of the ICON lot for a few hours.Or else, you cannot get your car until 6 PM. they close up the lot and your car is unavailable. so,is this right? your car is virtually "trapped" in the parking lot, unless you leave by 8a.m. if you can't find a legal space and have to go into the ICON parking lot,Trump Village Estates won't re-imburse you, even if you have a doctor's appointment, but you have to keep paying for your parking space, even though you cannot use it between 8am and 6pm. this situation just started and will go on for months,if not years. This is what it's like to live in this most awful of private co-ops,where you must give the co-op 20% of whatever you get when you sell your apartment and try to get out of here. In other words, you really don't own your apartment, just 80% , and you have to obey a long list of rules and regulations made by a management and Board of Directors with a history of stealing and corruption,as described by the new managers in a very long letter attached to the August statement of maintenance. maybe the worst thing of all, is the callous and complete disregard for human life and safety by this Board of Directors, for refusing to stop anyone, including non-residents, from using the parking lot as a "short-cut" and walking through the lot to get from West 5th st to Ocean Parkway. Just anyone can walk through, with dogs, babies, people in wheel-chairs,etc. anyone can walk right in front of moving cars,in entrances/exits, talking on cell phones, texting, walking dogs, etc.etc. anyone can and does walk right into the path of moving cars, and NOW, construction high above them,on the balconies. How awful it would be if someone got killed or seriously injured, because the management won't stop people from walking through these parking lots. YOU CANNOT DRIVE YOUR CAR IN OR OUT FROM 8AM TO 6PM, BUT YOU CAN WALK."
