"Since this was my first trip to New York, reading the reviews made me nervous about staying, but I had a great and comfortable stay. You're in the room, in my opinion, solely to sleep. The only thing I would complain about is that although the bed is comfortable, the pillows are not, and it can get quite noisy at night due to rowdy guests. They also inquire as to whether you would want a smoke-free room. I would return here."

"The receptionist was fairly accommodating. Luckily was able to get another after initially requesting a smoke allowed room, which was terrible. Visible hair on the towels, but they were clean. Thin walls. Think there’s a projects nearby? It’s more so a motel considering location. There’s a bus stop in front. I gambled with this spot (doing no research) for the price. It won’t happen again."

"This review is specifically on reception: the front desk was very helpful and trustworthy. I forgot my phone and headphones downstairs during check in and Gary at the reception promptly sent them up before I even realised they were gone. Very grateful to him and the team. Stayed for only one night as an emergency last minute booking so can't comment on anything else."

"Reading the reviews made me scared of staying, especially because New York was my first trip ever but I had a very good and comfy stay here. The way I see it you’re only in the room to sleep. Only complaint would be it can get a bit loud in the middle of the night with loud people and how the bed is comfy the pillows are not. Also they ask you if you want a smoke /smoke free room. I would come here again."

"The room was terrible - apparently guest are allowed to smoke in the rooms - all I smelt was smoke - so I had to keep the windows open for fresh air. Asked for another room and was told they were fully booked. The bed sheets had holes like cigarette burns. The walls were visibly dusty. The bathroom looked clean but smelt like piss. Like they did not clean the bathroom or the floors at all. The telephone and the tv remote was missing. If you like natural light this is not the place as the glass is frosted, however you can open the window slightly. There are 2 bodegas/ convenience stores on opposite sides of the hotel. After taking speaking to a few people - the area is unsafe and mostly sketchy people stay at that hotel and the surrounding area. Please be vigilant and aware of surroundings if you decide to stay here. In general the hotel is operated like a cheap motel, just an overall terrible experience."
