"Archingly cool and somewhat disfunctional. Nothing seems easy, coffee and croissant for breakfast, sorry don't to French patisserie. Rooms are cleaned, but make sure you ask before you leave the hotel.. Why? No idea. Wifi and TV coverage spotty. Some might say the emporer has no clothes."
"I've always chosen this hotel for work-related events, but I recently decided to switch things up with a staycation, accompanied by my pup, Henry. The experience was just what I needed. The key to this hotel's charm is undoubtedly its staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and genuine. It complements the hotel's effortless cool vibe, striking a perfect balance between trendy and approachable. It helps that the food here is also next level delicious. You’ll be happy you stayed here and Henry (my pup) would agree, if here were awake."
"This hotel was the perfect resting spot for my husband and I on a one night trip to Brooklyn. The whole hotel feels warm and welcoming and the furnishings and fixtures are top notch both in design and quality. We had a quiet room and slept wonderfully on the comfortable beds. The showers had awesome water pressure as well! The staff was helpful and attentive and I love that we could grab a delicious cappuccino and breakfast bun right in the lobby. We can't wait to return!"
"Such a beautiful hotel, and the restaurants are truly amazing. Jaffa is my favorite, the pickled mussels were some of the best things I’ve ever tasted. We had to wait over three hours past our set check in time for our room to be ready, however, which was disappointing as one of the reasons I picked this hotel was the “flexible” check in. The rooms are definitely tiny, but they’re so pretty! The beds were comfy too."
"The hotel unfortunately is not worth the price. We opted for the “Roomy” and boy was that a sham. The room is hardly any roomier than their cozy rooms, if it is, it negligible which is unacceptable when you’re paying well over $100 a night more for that room and nearly $500 on a Monday night. When we walked to the desk for check in, the two agents at the desk eventually looked up from their computers and just started at us. No warm welcome, nothing. We had to ask them if they were available for us to check in or else it would have just been a silent staring contest. They gave us a room on the 3rd floor with a view of a brick wall and all the garbage dumpsters. Which was ever more fun when the trucks came to loudly collect the garbage at 5am. The room was also an accessible room, which we did not request, so the bathroom was odd and the door wouldn’t stay closed. And there is shoddy construction all around the bathroom in general. There also was no desk like the listing said there was. The hotel lobby is lovely and the restaurants look great. But overall pretty disappointed and can’t see myself wanting to come back. Hoxton team, what about this room makes you think it’s worth the price you charge for it?"
