The Dime Residences 275 South 5th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211

"I have been living here for over a year now. Overall, great place to live. I have not experienced the brown water issues. Not saying it's not true, just didn't happen to me. The building itself is beautiful. The staff is good, especially the front desk. The gym is top notch. Lounges are great. I don’t expect everything listed to be done, but I think it would be a great experience for all tenants if some these can be done. 1. Have a weekly or biweekly hallway vacuum and mop schedule. The carpets do get dirty and the area by the elevator gets stained. 2. Add some metal lounge chairs to the South 4th side terrace area. It’s a huge empty area not being used. It’s windy there, so the metal lounge chairs would be fine. This will help with marketing(leasing) as well. 3. During my leasing tour, I was told the 22nd terrace would add coffee table with chairs. Again, this would make the 22nd floor much more usable and greater for marketing. Currently it’s just an empty terrace. I think tenants would love to sit up there and enjoy the views outside. 4. More strict checking of people entering our building. I see outside people coming into the building to use our basketball courts/gym. More so basketball court. These people should not be allowed into the building unless they are coming in with a tenant. I feel like some tenant friends are coming in just to use the amenities by themselves using the tenant’s code to access. Overall, I am happy here, as are most tenants. I think if some of the issues above can be addressed, we will all be happier. I am giving 4 stars, but I will change to 5 stars if they can address some of my concerns. I do recommend this building for someone looking for a great place to live."

"Please have the windows cleaned. It's way overdue. And we need the porters to clean the amenities areas more frequently. Otherwise, great place to live!"

"This building definitely deserves a higher rating than what I'm seeing. It's a luxury building with great staff and nice amenities. To keep this review unbiased, the two downsides I've noticed after living here for 2 years are that the apartments are kind of small, and the HVAC system is louder than I'd expect for central AC. But I knew this before moving in, and overall the building is great. Doormen who take care of all packages and greet you by name with a smile (shoutout to Anthony, he's the best). The super Nelson and Orlando take care of maintenance issues promptly, not that there's many issues since the building is just 2 years old. Parking right downstairs in the building at a great price with a tenant discount. Very responsive management (shoutout to Gabe) who reply to emails quickly and have been easy to work with when I needed to sublease my place a couple times — a management company that remains great to work with even after you sign a lease, how often does that happen! A wonderful building to live in overall."

"I lived in The Dime for 16 months and I couldn’t have been happier! Right next to the J&M and walking distance from both the L & G. Steps away from Williamsburg proper and all the stores/restaurants there - also Domino Park. The building is stunning and my apartment was my sanctuary; the big floor to ceiling windows did it for me. The building was well managed, the amenities are great, and the community is lovely. I will truly miss it. Shout out to the amazing staff (Nelson, Jeremy, Oliver, Anthony, and everybody else)!!!"
