"We needed a place to stay for the Boilermaker 15k and found this place while searching online. The price was great. It was not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. What more do you need if you're looking for a place to get a good nights sleep? I can't say enough about the people working the front desk. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay again when in Utica."
"I had a traveling snafu on an extended stay hotel and had to book this place last minute in cash since I had no card on me. There was a bit of a language barrier with the owner, but overall a fairly pleasant experience with recently renovated rooms and well-functional A/C during the sticky summer. The owner was even kind enough to unlock my door in the middle of the night as I managed to lock myself out of my room when I went to get ice. I know this place says one-star hotel, but it definitely felt like a much nicer upscale motel. Very clean, fairly quiet, and clean linens. Really not much more than you need at a fairly affordable rate. Highly recommend this place for solo trips or emergency stopovers."
"I really enjoyed the stay here. We didn't have a plan and stayed here on a whim for 3 nights. The rate was fair, we able to get a smoking room , which is rare in NY. The only thing I was disappointed with was that there was no wash, shampoo etc which was pretty inconvenient, being we stayed out of town unexpectedly. The owner was nice enough, the room was big, i would stay again."
"Surprisingly, wouldn't guess it from the outside, this place is actually pretty quiet, and if you're on a budget, it is the least expensive place to stay in the area. The owner can be a little rude, but it may just be a language barrier. The rooms are clean, bathroom in my room looked newly remodeled. They do have wifi, and it's a pretty good signal. It really isn't an awful place if you need a spot to rest your head on short notice."
"We stayed in Happy Journey Motel, a rather last minute decision. The room was unclean. The bed and sheets were disgusting and had stains. The bathroom was not clean. I found a hair on the towel. The shower was stripped of its shower head and the water hurt. I could not believe we paid $70 for a single queen bed room."
