"Very clean. Smells neutral and worth the money if you just need clean space just to stay and shower. Bed is alright. Pillows could be replaced but covers are clean. I will stay again if all i need is a place to sleep for a night and shower. Its located few minutes away from lots of food places that are open long hours and just very to highway. Thanks."

"It was a very nice surprise to find our room spotless. The property is very dog friendly with plenty of space for walking, and the staff were genuinely friendly and warm. It's close enough to everything you need or want to visit. Don't pass up Willie"s Bagel Cafe on the corner , they make genuine bagels!"

"Was placed at Red Roof Utica for a company I was working for and have never felt so unsafe at a hotel. Arrived to find all of the windows in the lobby were missing and were boarded up. The floor was dirty and all of the tiles were cracked. There was a teenager in the lobby with a dog soliciting her drawings to people checking in; the stench of wet dog was almost unbearable. We were given the keys to our room and walked across the parking lot. Several people were sitting outside of their rooms smoking marijuana and drinking (this was close to 10:00pm). The bed linens were stained, the towels were dirty, the bathtub was black; we had to wear sandals in the shower. There was cricket tape all over the ceiling. The door lock would not turn all the way and the bolt latch also did not work; my colleague and I moved all of the furniture against the door overnight. Another colleague who was staying a few rooms down had used eye lashes on the bedside table; how disgusting! This abysmal location has the audacity to charge $173 per night, I am embarrassed that anyone would pay this amount for such deplorable conditions. Please, do not stay here, I am not sure how the department of health allows this business to continue operations."

"Was a little apprehensive about staying here because of many of the negative reviews, but found it to be overall pretty decent and what you'd expect for the price. The only real issue we had was that the bathroom could have been cleaner--there were some hairs here and there on and around the tub area, and what was supposed to be the bathmat was damp and kind of nasty feeling, I was glad I'd brought thongs in there with me. Otherwise the general room area was clean enough. The beds were comfortable--although the pillows left something to be desired--and contrary to many of the reviews, it was completely quiet all night even though the place looked to be pretty full, and there were no unpleasant smells inside or out, no one standing around by the rooms smoking, etc. And the people manning the front desk, both when we arrived and when we checked out, were very friendly and pleasant. You get what you pay for, and for just a night's sleep and quick shower, it was adequate."

"We arrived close to midnight. After a long drive from Maine we wanted a nice clean room to relax . We found a Friendly person at the desk. Our room was very clean, and check out was also very Friendly. Found the grounds very nice. We travel and always stay at Red Roof Inns because they are Pet Friendly. This place is on our list of Great place to stay .."
