Windjammer Lodge

"A very nice motel in a good location. Small enough to be quiet. We visited on Labor Day weekend, accommodations were fine. But we didn't have WiFi. When we visited previously their Mother location the Gran View Motel offered guest breakfast for free. On this visit there was a $8 charge and apparently not served on Sunday morning as no one answered the phone in the office. ☹️"

"One bed was clean, one bed had dirt between the sheets so we ended up sleeping on a spare blanket in the room which had cigarette burns. The shower in the morning leaves you with a slimy film. Room service takes all day because they take a break between each room. Two stars because the pool is clean and the view is nice."

"Beautiful grounds on the lake however many repairs are needed at the lodge Concrete stairs are falling apart and dangerous to climb. Stoop in front of room door is a trip hazzard, loose wood, catches your foot which caused my husband to fall. A/C very noisy and ran all night. Not a good value for the money."

"Room was nice. Clean? Not really, upon arrival I found a dirty sock just laying next to the bed. The AC remote didn't work had to stretch to turn the AC on and off. The housekeeping was a joke. Left for the day and came back to the beds half made and coffee and creamer just thrown in a bag on the sink. The lotion and shampoo they leave u was half empty. I normally wouldn't complain about housekeeping but in the binder left in room they mentioned a tip for housekeeping. Why would I leave a tip for a half a$$ job? I decided to drive up to the Gran view restaurant for what they said was a deluxe breakfast. There was nothing to eat. Everything was empty. All THREE containers. It's very inconvenient for no one to be in the office. We left at 5am to get on the road since we had an 8 hour drive. We accidentally left a fishing rod in the room with the hotel key's. Since no one was in the office at this hotel we left it behind. Would of been nice to just walk to the front and get a new key. Whoever keeps the rod, I hope you enjoy it. The view is wonderful but I would rather find an AIRBNB for the same price and a whole house."

"I arrived after a 24 hour drive from Florida at 5:30am and they let me check in for my stay right away. The staff is amazing and I will be booking here again. The showers are huge and the property itself is amazing and absolutely beautiful."
