"Alden place truly is a great place to live. I have lived here for two years and am only leaving due to work relocation. If not for that I would have stayed. The grounds are beautiful. The people who work here are kind. It is safe. In a very convenient location. I could say so many good things about this place."

"My partner lives here and this place is absolutely terrible. Mold is a huge problem, they’ve submitted multiple work orders for broken things and maintenance comes in and tells them there’s nothing they can do! Lastly, a trash service they pay monthly for (there’s no option to opt out) constantly fines them for things such as a slightly broken bag… sorry the plastic bag that cost 5 cents has a little rip in it… don’t take the trash then, but there’s no need to add a $25 fee! This place is absolutely ridiculous and I advise no one live here, there’s a reason they’re one of the cheapest places in the area. Please for the love of your peace, DO NOT LIVE HERE!"

"Overall this is a great and quiet community. My neighbors are nice and I don't have to worry about any issues with them. The playground and pool area are nice to relax and take your kids."

"I’m giving this review just for the sake of Sandy Manning, who helped my roommate(s) and I with leasing two years in a row. She is so sweet and professional at the same time! Sandy helped us dealt with pest control issues, locked in good rent rates, and made sure the lease approval process was incredibly smooth (very very positive experience compared to other apartments offices in the area). I cannot think of a better leasing assistant! The community itself is quiet and pretty as well. Building might not be the newest but very well maintained; appliances are quite new and handy. Great living experience in Durham!"

"Moved here in July and was put in an apartment that had visible mold in the bathroom. The kitchen drawers were not cleaned out and there were several other issues in the apartment. I was told that the apartments are “professionally” cleaned prior to someone moving in. That was an obvious lie. Please believe the review from the guy about the water bugs and go elsewhere. It has been a nightmare! I was excited to move to a new city and being at Alden place ruined that excitement. The leasing agents are rude to me because I have complaints about issues they should’ve ensured were fixed prior to my move in date. Apartments are old and outdated, not worth $1500 a month. There’s no light in the bedroom or the living room which is unusual to me. The only good thing is stainless steel appliances in kitchen and valet trash. Everything else is horrible especially the condition of the bathroom. Maintenance came to “recaulk” but it did not change anything. See photos."
