"I would not recommend staying at this hotel. When I entered the room it had a terrible smell like feet. The room looked clean but during the night I woke up and was going to use my phone and saw a small bug crawling on it. Then found several in the bathroom. Not a fan of bugs and this definitely should not be happening. When I went to take a shower I put the bath mat down and there was a big boot imprint on it. It was from someone else, totally unacceptable."
"Location great for our needs, water pressure awesome, rooms clean and good sized but the biggest issue is the beds.....felt like I was laying on a board with no give. Admittedly, I have a bad back, and these beds were horrible for me. Overall nice hotel for the money but I can't stay on a return visit."
"Amazing customer service and housekeeping. Clean rooms and grounds. My stay was very comfortable. Better than the new Hyatt in Chapel Hill NC . Better food ,great staff and same rooms for a better price. Stayed two weeks and I'm glad I chose this location. The Hyatt doesn't have nothing on this location. Beds ,food, customer service, housekeeping location. Quite and wealthy drunks running around or sleeping in the lobby ."
"FREQUENTLY OVERBOOKS! DROVE HOME IN MIDDLE OF NIGHT! We arrived to this hotel after a major event in the city only to find out the manager had written up a letter addressed “to whom it may concern” informing any other hotel chain that Comfort Inn did not have a room for us and we needed a place to stay and to comp our visit with them and bill Comfort Inn. When we arrived, the front desk girl handed us this letter and told us they were “completely booked” and “did not have any more king beds”. To that we replied of course “what do you mean” and she responded she really didn’t understand but basically we couldn’t stay there. After being sent to the only place that had availability within a 2 hour radius of the city (Red Roof Inn Motel down the street) we called this hotel back and inquired about another OTHER bed options. She stated they were completely booked and did not have room for us DESPITE making this booking months in advance. According to a few other hotels, which we called to see if they had availability after being denied our reservation at this hotel, there were 3 other rooms which were denied as well. We are guessing they just took the latest check in rooms and bumped them so they didn’t have any arguments to make about whether the hotel was full yet. The front desk girl after I called them back stated they frequently overbook and their “numbers online are not what they actually are” to which I replied “you should probably get that fixed…. Have a nice day”. My husband and I ended up driving 2.5hours home that night arriving at our home to relieve our babysitter of our 4 month old at 2am. I cannot believe they can simply deny you a room because THEY messed up! I also cannot believe the front desk girl had little words for us nor was prepared in telling us this news. OH! And they said we’d get a full refund but they charged our card anyway. We disputed the charge with our credit card company who informed us they have 60 days to respond to the claim before they will will remove the charge. I will NEVER be booking with this hotel EVER again and I do warn those who have a late check in!"
"Good location if you are looking to explore every city in the triangle, as it feels like it's dead center of all of them. Staff was friendly and helpful. The lemon water and coffee with to go cups was nice. The rooms needed some updating. The bathroom in particular looked a little ragged, with tiles falling apart. Looked like someone had pulled the shower rod off the wall and they did a poor job repairing it. The elevator was a little rough, take the stairs. Otherwise the room felt clean and the bed was comfortable. I would come back here if the plan was to spend more time in Durham or Chapel Hill, but was a half hour drive to Raleigh (again a great middle point if you are traversing all three."
