"The bed was too hard for us and the pillows to thin and squishy. I needed more. So we didn't sleep well. But quiet. Love the area."
"Stayed at this location overnight to make an early flight. When we checked in the young lady at the desk didn't return my wife's ID. They didn't call the room to tell us we didn't have it, or slip it under the door. Instead, we didn't realize it until we were trying to go through security at 5 am. Raced back to the hotel to get it, but missed our flight. This caused us to spent hundreds on change fees. have to fly into another airport 2 hours away, and get to our destination 7 hours later than planned. When we called the manager to tell him what happened he said the best he could do is tell the employee not to let it happen again."
"Nestled in a convenient location, the hotel exudes an initial air of luxury, promising guests a comfortable retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. My stay at Wingate was an interesting mix of impressions, where the allure of opulence blended with the reality of overdue renovations. Upon stepping into the lobby, one is greeted by an ambiance of sophistication and charm. The decor speaks of elegance, setting the stage for what seems like a promising stay. However, as one delves deeper, it becomes apparent that the hotel is in need of a rejuvenating touch. Throughout the premises, signs of wear and tear on the furniture were noticeable, hinting at the necessity for an overhaul. Despite this, the essentials like clean sheets and towels were provided, ensuring a basic level of comfort for guests. The breakfast offerings, albeit complimentary, left much to be desired. Subpar in quality, I found myself opting to venture outside the hotel to satisfy my morning cravings, despite the convenience of the in-house service. It's an aspect where the hotel could certainly elevate the guest experience with some culinary improvements. Moreover, the cleanliness standards fell short of expectations. Stains adorned the walls, a detail that I found rather surprising considering the otherwise attentive staff. Additionally, the television, albeit functional, displayed colored streaks upon activation, detracting from the overall viewing experience. However, amidst these shortcomings, there were glimpses of potential. The staff, though perhaps needing a bit more attention to detail in certain areas, were friendly and accommodating, adding a warm touch to the stay. In retrospect, my experience at Wingate was a lesson in managing expectations. Despite the imperfections, the hotel offered a reasonably comfortable stay at an affordable price point of $60. For those seeking a budget-friendly option with a touch of luxury, it certainly serves its purpose. In conclusion, while there's room for improvement, the hotel provides a decent option for travelers looking for a convenient stopover without breaking the bank. With a little refurbishment and attention to detail, it has the potential to reclaim its status as a charming retreat in the heart of the city."
"We use the park and fly quite often. As usual, we called the shuttle service when we landed and Roc, our shuttle driver, picked us up from the airport. Roc dropped us off at our truck and unfortunately, we came back to a dead battery (my fault...I left the camera running for the 2 weeks we were gone!). Without hesitation, Roc offered to replace our fob battery with one he had in his own vehicle. Unfortunately, the battery didn't fit our fob, so he then offered to jump us. Obviously, we didn't want to disrupt his work day or the shuttle service for others, so we told him that we'd just call AAA. He left to go pick up more guests at the airport and said that he'd be back to help. Although, he was supposed to be done with his work day after he initially dropped us off at our truck, he not only made three more trips to the airport to pick up more guests, but as promised, came back and jumped us. Needless to say, we were able to cancel AAA and be on our way! Roc went above and beyond and we truly appreciated his help and efforts:)"
"Firstly, I booked my room a month before time, a king room. The next couple days later i found out another guest was coming along so I tried to change my room to a double queen and it was nothing they could do about it, although they had double rooms available. So i had to make another reservation for the next night in a totally different room. Got to the hotel, the elevator breaks down, we have to take the stairs. The stair well has an awful scent that made you turn around. Eventually we made it to the room, the toilet was running and wouldn't flush. The remote control to the 32inch TV was gone. Room wasn't well clean and I honestly haven't felt comfortable walking around with out socks or shoes the entire visit."
