"The staff is very rude. I called the front desk at 9:00 am to request a late checkout for 2 rooms, and the woman on the phone didn’t let me finish talking. When she heard “2” she jumped to rudely say: we only have late check out until 12! It took me like 4 good minutes to try to explain her that I wanted 2 rooms for late check out. After she finally understood and stopped cutting me off, she hung up the phone on me. Very poor customer service."

"Great experience, rooms were clean and we had great service. The breakfast was set up nicely and well taken care of. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with anything we asked and even told us exactly how to get to a few different places around the area. The only thing I found slightly odd was that the rooms didn't have microwaves in them, you had to go to the main floor and use one in the breakfast area. Plenty of parking available and easy to locate when traveling. We had a great experience!"

"I selected this hotel based on the many positive reviews, but what a disappointment. It started off poorly with no one being at the front desk during check in. I waited about 15 minutes before someone appeared. The individual was very curt in answering my questions. Not a friendly interaction. I open the door to my room and the floors have dirty footprints all over the room and bathroom. The sheets had stains on them. Towels were not changed and I had to call to get clean ones. Overall, highly disappointed."

"I used my points from working at hotels and paid cash for the rest of the room. Everything went smoothly at check-in that evening, yet the next morning upon checkout, I had police surrounding my car saying that I did not pay. I was livid! I understand it was not the hotel, it was the call system, yet they all need to get on the same page. I paid like everyone else. This was ridiculous. Get it together please. I'm sure no one wants to wake up to the police saying I did not pay, which I did. Nice, new hotel, just unorganized!"

"Just stayed here from the past weekend. For what you pay, this is an amazing deal. Very nice hotel, the rooms are so clean and makes you feel comfortable, and it feels luxurious. The reason for 1 star removed is the lady from the second day of breakfast wasn't on top of keeping everything going. There was food that wasn't prepared and wasn't put out. That's my only gripe. I will definitely stay at this hotel again sometime. It's so convenient that it's a 20 minute walk to Carowinds. I loved my stay at Avid"
