"Clearly a fine place for families. Having worked in pool environments for 10+ years, I know the demand to keep facilities running smoothly (and people happy). Day passes for interested individuals would help this pool become more of a community resource, esp. for those who do not have a family. The YMCA does so, recognizing the need is out there, regardless of money. Rec Park Pool off Swannanoa River Rd is outdoors, is Olympic size and a great alternative ... and is now undergoing extensive maintenance. :("
