"Never had anyone be nicer, more professional or pleasant during a return without receipt. Kerry should be acknowledged for her professional and positive customer service. Thank you!"
"Waste of time and money. I purchased the washer that matches my dryer, paid for installation and the necessary equipment plus the extra fee to haul the old washer away. They assured me it could be installed even though I bought the dryer previously and it was already being used in my home. The day of delivery, the installation team decides to wait until they're in my home to tell me they can't install the washer and can't guarantee a refund for any of it and that all I can do is complain. Stated it was a consistent issue with Home Depot. I'm pregnant, I can't haul a washer up my stairs and hoist it over my head to stack it myself so it needed to be sent back to the warehouse entirely. If my husband had the time to install the thing I'd not have paid for it to be done. I've also still not received a refund. I will never spend another dollar at this store."
"Bought an item on Black Friday. Needless to say item said delivered lo and behold the cover was delivered not the actual item. Never heard any response after we inquired with the store until we reached out and they basically said yeah we can’t get you that. Asked them to reorder the item at the discounted price and was hung up on and received the automatic response that our refund was being processed. Missed the discounted price from other dealers, gut told me to not go with Home Depot and this just reaffirms it."
"This is a "hit and miss" hardware store. If you expect to order something on-line to go in to pick it up don't be surprised that it isn't ready for pick-up or it is missing. Don't order wood online for pick up. You will more than likely get the worst wood they have. They aren't going to select the best wood for you. Be ready for the "upsell." They should never tell you that there is only one brand (Shark Bite) of an item, then you find another brand that is $7 cheaper. If you can get ahold of someone on the phone and ask whether they have something or not, be prepared to be told they do have it, but when you show up they don't have it. Online quantities are always wrong, so be prepared to be told they don't have it once you are in the store. Employee- "Inventory is never accurate. Small items are stolen all of the time." Delivery of a dishwasher. I specifically said not to deliver it in a tall truck due to low hanging trees. They showed up with a tall truck. "Sir, we have your dishwasher out at the mailboxes. You will need to come get it or we will return it." I am "glad" I paid for delivery. I didn't pay for delivery just for me to come pick it up. There are some good employees, but there are those that just don't need to be in customer service."
"We've used different Home Depot's for years, have a card, loyal customers, bought all appliances from them. We bought a washing machine from the Acton Circle location last year that was delivered late because the truck went into a ditch. We didn't complain. About two weeks after we received the washer, it stopped mid-cycle, full of water, leaving me to bail everything. We couldn't get a repair scheduled under warranty in our area in Leicester. Home Depot said not our problem, you've had it more than 48 hours. The manager would never come to the phone or call me back. Someone in the store told me we'll take care of you. That didn't happen. I visited the store with my Mom and a store employee in appliances accomplished nothing. Meanwhile, I went on Amazon, found a similar machine on sale for $399 and have been very happy with that. We put the broken washing machine in our shed and continued paying for an appliance that doesn't operate. I didn't give one employee a difficult time because that's how I treat people but I didn't get the same in return from this store."
