About the Business
Frank Liske Park, located at 4001 Stough Road in Concord, North Carolina, is a stunning 238-acre park that was once a working farm for the Stonewall Jackson Training School. Named in honor of Frank Liske, who played a key role in acquiring the land for lease from the state, the park offers a range of attractions and amenities for visitors to enjoy.
Visitors can explore relics of the former farm, such as a refurbished dairy barn and silo, which are popular spots for gatherings. The park features four rental areas, including an enclosed upper level in the barn that is heated and air-conditioned. Other amenities include a 10-acre lake for fishing and paddle boating, picnic shelters, volleyball courts, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and six lighted tennis courts. Additionally, there is an 11-field soccer complex, a four-field softball complex, walking and fitness trails, a nature trail, and an 18-hole miniature golf course (currently under construction).
Managed as a wildlife and nature preserve, Frank Liske Park offers a variety of activities and events throughout the year. The park is home to a popular eight-week summer day camp, as well as sports camps, nature workshops, tennis classes, road races, and community events. The softball and soccer complexes host league play and tournaments, and the soccer complex is operated in partnership with the Charlotte Soccer Academy and the City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department.

"Very pleasant park with a good walking trail, and picnic areas. Good playgrounds, very clean, and safe. Has a mini golf course for the kids. A lot of open space. I saw people walking their dogs here as well. Great for families!"
"Very nice park. I usually walk the 2 mile track (which is partially covered with trees - great for the summer heat)! The grounds are very well maintained all year around - if you’re looking for a shorter walk, there’s a nice (gravel) path around the lake! I haven’t tried the pedal boats or rental canoes yet, but that is something I may do the next time I have visitors! Would recommend!"
"One of the best parks in cabarrus county. Beautiful lakes where you can ride paddle boats. Long walking trails where you can jog and take in the fresh air. Spacious shelters you can rent for parties. This park has it all! Highly recommend for all folks that live close by to come enjoy nature near you!"
"Beautiful park; well kept & maintained. There's a lake & I think I saw paddle boats too. Plenty if shelters to use to hang out or for cookouts. Playgrounds for the kids, baseball fields, a mini sandbox for a game of volleyball, and even some holes to golf. The park is big enough that even when it seems full (i.e. a lot of people) everything is spaced out enough that you're not on top of each other! I don't live on this side of town and not really the type to go to parks: however, I'll definitely come back to this one."
