"Extremely Disappointing Experience at Proximity Apartments I am compelled to share my deeply unsatisfactory experience with Proximity Apartments, particularly in the hope that prospective tenants are forewarned about the challenges they may encounter. We were excited for our daughter to move to Proximity and attend ODU but were disappointed by unorganized check-in process and abysmal communication. The common areas, such as the halls, are consistently dirty and emit unpleasant odors. Shockingly, the building was left unlocked for several weeks, leading to a break-in that violated the security and safety we expected. The issues extended to the parking garage, where the gate remained broken for an extended period. Now, our daughter faces the unreasonable threat of having her car towed due to an expired state inspection. The abrupt 72-hour notice is not only inconvenient but seems entirely unreasonable. Towing for an expired inspection is an unfamiliar and unjust practice, making us question the integrity of Proximity's policies. The impression that Proximity may be benefiting from towing costs only adds to our frustration. A more reasonable timeframe for inspection compliance, such as a 7-14 day notice, would be far more acceptable and accommodating. In sum, our experience with Proximity Apartments has been nothing short of disappointing, and we feel compelled to share this warning with others considering this living arrangement."

"Excellent staff with patience reviewing any inquiries you have . The place is great near ODU university constantly improving with enhanced security measures in place. There is a small gym which has all the necessary equipment for your workouts. The resident application is great which resolves all your maintenance requests as well as your payments. Megan, Rose, Lisa, Tia, and James are all great!"

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've been living here for almost 2 years and recently faced an issue with my dishwasher. Jonathan was extremely polite and efficient in addressing the issue, and he even followed up with me to ensure everything was working fine. Lisa was very accommodating, especially considering it was the weekend and close to closing time. She's always been supportive, helping me schedule maintenance when needed. Megan in the office is another gem. She's consistently available, answering calls and even assisting me in determining the size of my mattress so I could purchase the right sheets. Both the office and maintenance staff go above and beyond to ensure I'm well taken care of. Highly recommend this wonderful team!"

"As a mother of College student that just moved in, I ha e to say that I’m more than disappointed of this place, I left my son there without air conditioning in the apartment and full of roaches all over the entire apartment, you can feel and see holes in the floor, roaches were even in the fridge. Two days since he moved and no one have showed up yet to fix the air conditioning. FLOOR 4 is a completely mess. Our monthly payment is going to be 1000 for this disgusting place. Do something or moved him to another apartment. Also when he got his keys the apartment was filthy not ready for anyone to moved, Thanks God we were with him and help him cleaning we spend more than $100 in cleaning products and stuff to kill roaches, and nothing works because the building have an infestation. I have more pictures just in case…. This building should have code enforcement, this is health concern."
