"Rooms are great. Location is perfect. Management is terrible. Jamie, the manager, doesn't care about guests. There was an issue and he asked to just call the Marriott service line instead of solving the issue. Another guest at the time was enquiring about his lost luggage and wallet from the room while he was out. I'm a Lifetime Titanium member and will not visit this property."

"I typically don’t do reviews on hotels because of fear of retaliation. I’m a titanium member with Marriott. This hotel is very nice a location is perfect for food, shopping and exploring. I was here on business. I needed to add another night to my stay with a couple days notice. So I messaged front desk though the app which I have done many times before. I got a fairly quick response. I was told I would need to check out on my original date, book another night and then check back in. I’ve never had this issue before so I questioned their response, and was told the same. I checked the app and there was many room categories available so that wasn’t the reason. So since I had to check out, I went to another hotel down the street, the Hilton. I highly recommend this location, multiple restaurants and great water views. Parking is better too."

"Has quickly become our favorite place to stay when visiting relatives in Norfolk. Gorgeous rooms with comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities, like an automatic sink light. Bar is very good with high quality drinks. Atmosphere with the art is very cool. But most importantly, there's free, unlimited, ice cold BOTTLED WATER ON YOUR FLOOR! It makes the place feel much more homey. Not even that much more expensive than the other Marriott properties downtown."

"I typically don't leave reviews, but after last night's stay I am compelled to. I selected the hotel based on it's contemporary advertisement. The art in itself is surprisingly good and I would find any reason to go back just to view it again. However, the staff was nothing short of amazing. Everyone (valet, check-in, bartender, bellman, chef, etc.) we spoke to was kind, personable and cheerful which made our visit extra special. If you have to stay in Norfolk or nearby, you should give this hotel a serious consideration."
