DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Norfolk Airport 1500 North Military Highway, Norfolk, VA 23502

"My room was overall OK. The bed was comfortable, TVs are newer. My room had a fridge but no microwave. There was a cheap microwave available in the lobby for guest use...but that's rather inconvenient. The lack of service is what I found to be most annoying. I spent roughly 3 weeks at this hotel. I asked for house keeping service on a few occasions to be told no problem...but most times no service was provided. I eventually had to speak to the manager, who provided a less than satisfying response. The daily cleaners speak ZERO English...which I find slightly suspect. The on property restaurant is underwhelming. Food was of poor quality and overpriced. I'd consider this double tree on the bottom end of others I've stayed out. The layout is strange and unwelcoming. End result is I was not impressed and will bypass this property in my future visits to Norfolk."

"Updated rooms on the third floor (pictured). Construction seems to be finishing up and I didn’t hear any noise. Close to the airport, but not a lot within walking distance due to busy roads without sidewalks. The hotel shuttle will drop you off and pick you up at a restaurant if you ask nicely. Breakfast was good."

"Very clean and modern facility. The staff is very nice, especially at the front desk There is renovation going on right now (mid-Oct) so the elevators are a little slow but I don't hear any construction noises. Check out the bar and grill, they have a nice bar menu - the pork belly nachos were very tasty and we enjoyed the flight of street tacos (pulled chicken, battered cod, and pork belly). A very nice facility."

"The hotel was decent for a one night stay. The rooms were fine but the beds could use an upgrade. The make a loud noise when you sit on them and you sink. Other than that the room was good. The staff was welcoming when I arrived. We went to the restaurant down stairs and it was awful. 0/10 experience. The food was awful and none of the 4 of us ate it. $80 wasted. The food was like cardboard and rubber. You could not chew it. The smell of weed was overwhelming. But other than that it was fine. I’d stay here again for a one night stay if needed."

Overall, Double Tree Hotel Norfolk Airport offers great value for money with its big, clean, and comfortable rooms making it an excellent choice for both short and longer stays. Highly recommended!"
