"Great place to live with great office and maintenance staff! In the past two years I've only had one maintenance issue and the team went above and beyond to fix the issue immediately. Big shout out to Kyle (community manager) and Lester (maintenance manager) for being on top of everything! Highly recommend this complex!"
"I lived here for a couple of years and here's my experience: Pros: - Location! Close to anything you want to do downtown or in Ghent. This is a really nice perk of living here. If you want to attend the festivals in Town Point Park, you can just walk over and not have to worry about parking or anything. - Washer/Dryer in unit - Lacking in a lot of buildings in this area. This saves a lot of time/money. - Very Pet Friendly - Hardwood floors - A lot easier to keep clean than carpet. Cons: - Location - It *is* downtown. If you want/need a super quiet environment all the time, this is not the place for you. The walls are very thin. You will hear your neighbor's conversations and loud music. You will also hear road noise and people hanging out at the restaurants downtown. Although it can be eerily quiet at times, it is not always that way. Some noise is to be expected. - Parking - Again, it *is* downtown. Finding a parking spot/getting out of the parking garage during peak times can be rough. You can easily plan around this, but it is worth a mention. - Disorganized office staff - My renter's insurance paperwork was "lost" every few months. A $25 charge would appear on my rental account and I'd have to dispute it. The paperwork would always turn up (with lots of apologies), but it was a huge hassle. This was not the only paperwork that was "lost" in my time here. Each time, office staff blamed someone else (sometimes me) for the problem. And each time, the paperwork would show up once I questioned it. Pay close attention to your itemized bill. If you have an actual problem to be solved, expect to call/email/show up at the office multiple times for a response and resolution. - Maintenance - Maintenance is hit or miss. Sometimes they quickly fix issues and sometimes you will be blown off. My refrigerator died and maintenance blew me off about it for a couple of days. They finally came to "fix" it, but the fix was superficial. My fridge died (again) a few days later. Both times, I had to call/email multiple times in order to get it fixed. And I lost all the food in my fridge and freezer both times. I received a similar response when reporting a pest issue. A couple of my maintenance requests were never addressed at all. On the other hand, my AC went out and that was resolved in 12 hours. Overall, I found the noise and location issues manageable. But, the multiple poor experiences I've had with office staff convinced me it was time to move. While it is unreasonable to expect 0 maintenance issues or 0 administrative mistakes, it is reasonable to expect those issues that do arise be resolved in a timely manner."
"Hands down the best renting experience I have ever had. The apartments are incredible along with the management team. A huge thank you to Kyle, Jordan, and Kim! Cannot recommend enough."
"Ok, so like, from the beginning, it was like totally freaking awesome. Kim, the document organizer specialist/chambers presentation technical analyst was highly energetic and exceptionally knowledgeable in the type of apartment that attracts Ms. Right Now rather than Ms. See You Later. Everyday, I feel like the fierce combination of Tom Hanks and Robert Loggia playing on the floor piano, in the blockbuster film, Big. Everyday is a positive dear diary moment for me. The Virginia Building, you are my magical Zoltar Machine that makes all my wishes come true!"
"Just moved to town and this was my first stop apartment hunting. I was worried because I thought it would be difficult locating an apartment with everything I needed. Turns out it wasn’t that hard! Jordan was extremely professional and answered all of my questions and then some. He showed me the apartment and to my surprise it had a washer and dryer IN UNIT; their website had said otherwise. Great views, close to everything I need, and a safe neighborhood so my family can come visit comfortably. Thank you for your help Jordan!"
