"Great office staff, lived here for years and have minimal issues with apartments."
"Great office management. We were there almost 15 years and everyone was always helpful and courteous. The maintenance people were professional and knowledgeable. Jill the manager and the former co-manager Jessica would send out people if I had any issues. No place is perfect, however they tried. When we lived there it was a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood."
"I moved into my apartment April of 2022. Within the first few months my only starting complaints were the bugs, and the fact that I knew my neighbors smoking habit down to the hour. They brought maintenance in every other month or so, but the cockroaches never stopped showing up. I kept my apartment very clean, took trash out everyday and never had dishing lying around, those bugs had already classed my apartment home and there was nothing even a monthly spray could do to stop them. The kitchen, the closets, and I'll never forget the one time I ran out of my door after pulling my bed covers for bed. (I'll attach photos) Summer came and went, and I still stayed at Hidenwood. In October of 2022, my car was broken into on the early morning. I was leaving out for work at 3AM and found my door open and all of my personal belongings either destroyed or gone. After calling the police and filing a report, I went to the leasing office as soon as they opened. After explaining my situation, Jill told me that they don't have security cameras for liability. I then told her along with three maintenence workers present, and my father, that I would like to break my lease due to safety reasons. I was told that I would be able to do so I would just need a written notice. After a week of me moving out I received a call that along with a written notice I would loose my 300 dollar deposit and I would need to pay the full 855 dollars for November rent. I turned in my official written notice and the story changed yet again. As of the day I turned in my written notice I was told I would have to pay the next thirty days. So half of December would be prorated. And now, almost three months later, they are mailing me letters saying that I owe 95 dollars for a carpet clean and a broken blind (which was already broken when I moved in) because the 300 deposit didn't cover it. All Hidenwood Apartments are is a scam. They can never get enough money from you. Absolutely disgusting place and people."
""J" in the office says we can escalate this, then claims to be the ultimate authority. They violated the contracted list of expenses. Run far, far, away. I received what sounded like a threatening voice-mail from "J" in the office calling my review defamation. As soon as the stolen amount of my deposit is refunded to me I will remove the review."
"I cannot agree with any of the negative reviews since my experience with Hidenwood Apts differs greatly from theirs. I've lived here for almost 4 years and my experience has certainly been a pleasant one. Any maintenance issue that I've had was handled in a timely fashion, no matter how minor. The leasing office staff and maintenance staff have always been kind and respectful. They always keep me updated on what's going on whether it be in regards to the status of my maintenance request and/or neighborhood happenings. They even follow up with me to ensure that my request was fulfilled. I like the fact that they engage with the residents. Since I've lived here, I've seen them throw neighborhood pool parties, neighborhood yard sales and they even give free breakfast some mornings as you're leaving the complex. I love being in the midst of such a prestigious neighborhood and so close to so many local attractions. I agree that the complex isn't the most modern but they've certainly done well with the upkeep. Since I've lived in my apt, the bathroom shower tiles in both bathrooms have been updated to a more modern style. They also regularly keep up with the landscaping and horticulture (I've attached a picture that I took outside of my building this past fall). All in all, this may not be the most modern complex but it is a very nice community in a very convenient location. I highly recommend."
