"I have lived here for 1.5 years and recently my apartment has become unlivable. My bike got stolen out of the locked bike storage. I can’t send mail to my address anymore because it’s been stolen so many times (on camera), my neighbor consistently blasts music and has dogs that wake us up barking almost every night. We’ve filed countless complaints and management does not care and does nothing. I can’t wait to move out of this miserable place."
"Have lived at Cary street station for the past two years. The walls are thin and my spouse and I are kept awake daily by the barking dogs of our neighbor. We have tried to discuss this with management who has been dismissive and unhelpful. Have had my mail stolen from the unlocked mail package delivery area so many times that I cannot send packages to the apartment. Had a bike stolen from the “locked” bike storage despite having my own lock on it as well. Would recommend looking elsewhere"
"I lived in building 8 along Grayland Ave for 2 years and LOVED it. The apartment was spacious and affordable, and I almost never heard my neighbors. The maintenance staff were always quick to respond and very friendly. I've really enjoyed my time at Cary Street Station and would have renewed my lease if I didn't have to move for work. Thank you to the wonderful staff!"
"This is my second year living at Cary Street Station and it has been a mixed bag. This is primarily because I have been without functioning AC since July 4th with no timeline to repairs in sight or effective mitigations. I’m currently going through our excessive heat warning with no capability to open a window, and with just box fans blowing air to me and my cats. It’s currently 86 degrees in my bedroom. Everything else about the property has been pretty good. You get a parking spot, internet, utilities included in all one rent payment. The location itself is excellent and allows for walking distance to local shops. Additionally, when small maintenance issues did appear they were resolved within hours if not a day or two."
"I really enjoyed my time living at Cary Street Station. The apartment itself is very nice, with spacious rooms, wood flooring, and beautiful huge windows that get lots of sunlight. The area was exactly what I wanted, being only a few blocks from lots of shops and restaurants on Cary and a few blocks in the other direction to Byrd Park and several lakes, which are perfect for calm walks in the morning. The utilities, pet fees, and parking were all included in the rent, which made everything super easy. The property managers (specifically Britney) were helpful and friendly throughout my entire experience & the maintenance team (Shane in particular) was very kind as well as quick to respond and fix things. I couldn't have asked for a better apartment & am very sad to be relocating out of the area but I definitely recommend this complex to anyone who's interested."
