Hydro Apartments

"I frequently visited a friend when this apartment was first opening and although at first I liked it, my opinion slowly changed after time. First off, the apartment wasn't even ready due to construction delays - was any discount offered? No. Nails and screws all over the parking lot from the trucks. Charging amenity fees for amenities that didn't exist yet. Parking was poorly planned and they ended up running out of room and charging everybody for the garage rate even though garage spots were limited. Nickel and diming $10 per little hole from a small picture frame nail. Not to mention the bottom few floors looked like something out of jail with the concrete hallways. It's a shame that paying tenants who started with them from the beginning and the apartment wasn't even finished yet, were treated so poorly later on. Packages were dumped in the lobby sometimes and with as frequently as the front door wouldn't close properly, anybody could've walked in and stolen packages. Not to mention their poor security system made it so someone was able to jack 2 cars in the same night and none of the cameras were on yet or not being monitored. The walls were thin, I could easily hear neighbors having conversation at a normal voice level and hear every footstep of whoever lived above. I had higher hopes for this place given the prime location in Manchester but the quality level for the high prices are not worth it."

"Me and my husband are one of the first residents at hydro! We love it! the amenities are great and the Property Management is always involved in activities with the residents! The entire leasing team is kind and courteous and address all matters/concerns as quick as they can. The same goes for maintenance! The community is very pet and dog friendly! We are always happy to meet other dog owners at the dog park on-site!"

"We have loved our experience at Hydro since the day we moved in. The price, size, and view are worth it. The floor plan is spacious and the community is nice. The leasing office agents Riley and Aaron were and are very helpful and maintenance has been a breeze and easy to contact. The apartments and amenities are very up to date and clean looking. The gym equipment seems pretty new and well kept. There’s a European Bakery across the bridge (has some weird hours but worth it!), there is a Trail Head right out the front door, and many options for food and bars in walking distance."

"Overall I'm happy with living at Hydro so far (2 weeks). The property is very well maintained and pleasant, apartment finishes are modern and tasteful, and management is effective and friendly. It is surprisingly quiet since it is set back from the main road, and my floor plan feels thoughtfully spacious enough to accommodate remote work. I love that it is close to downtown and the river, with relatively easy access to public transit on Hull Street as well as the growing old town Manchester neighborhood. I took off one star because unfortunately guest/street parking is extremely limited, and I wish they would discontinue the unnecessary trash valet service. I would still recommend it overall, and I hope as the community gets leased out that management can address these concerns. Update after 1 year: everything from my original review still stands."

"I've been at Hydro for just over a month now and it's been wonderful. The floor plan/size is excellent for the cost and the amenities are as well. Upon moving in I've had a few maintenance issues which were acknowledged and resolved very rapidly. There are a few flaws still, like the hot water heater taking up to 5 minutes to heat up, depending on the time of day and the parking deck capacity. I've also enjoyed the community events organized by community manager Riley. She was very easy to work with when I had some administrative problems with my renter's insurance. I also appreciate how friendly she is, which brings a casual and relaxed atmosphere to the community."
