"I have called 1221 Van my home for more than a year now and am continually impressed by the service all the way around. Each morning I am greeted with a smile and “good morning” as I leave for work and there is always a welcoming smile at night with a “welcome back” upon my return. Over this time, the concierge, Valerie Price has consistently provided outstanding assistance and a welcoming presence. She takes the time to get to know you and always willing to assist. Whether it’s a package hold, maintenance request or an amenities reservation such as the loading dock, she is a shining light which makes an apartment at 1221 Van feel like a home."

"This apartment complex is amazing! I love the interior design of the building ! This complex is pet friendly with pet friendly treats at the front desk ! The concierge Valerie is also amazing super helpful and friendly! I strongly recommend this apartment complex overall 5 stars !"

"I have yet to move out but will be moving out shortly for personal reasons. I have been living at 1221 for three years now and I think its a great place to live within Navy Yard. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially Jessica in the leasing office which has been very helpful with my move-out process and i think has done a great job since coming in. The cleaning and front desk staff are very nice as well and have always been helpful. I had a maintenance issue once late at night and they showed up the same night so positive thoughts on maintenance. While some of the other Navy Yard and DC apartments have had issues with crime, personally speaking, this apartment is located in a continent spot to avoid such crime. I think its a greats starter apartment for anyone looking to move into the DC area. It is conveniently located with many bars, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby and a two minute walk to the metro. I will check back in after my move out process has finalized but so far so good. Editing my review to say that Valerie at the front desk is truly amazing! She was very helpful during my move out process and was always nice to me during my time at 1221!"

"Update - Still love living here! I really enjoy coming back home and getting to catch up with and chat with Valerie Price, she’s always a joy to talk to! I moved in about a month ago and I love living here! I’m a recent grad and the application process was easy and the leasing agents were amazing during the two months before I moved in. I emailed them with MANY questions and they always got back to me in a timely manner. I've lived in two other apartment complexes in DC and in different complexes other places and have never gotten such prompt responses to my many emails like I have here. (Thanks Danielle and Jericha!) The amenities are everything I wanted - a rooftop, grills, a nice pool overlooking the stadium, and a good enough gym. The location is great - about a three minute walk to the metro station, and a one minute walk away from a bunch of restaurants, bars, and more. I’m also obsessed with my apartment and the view! I read some reviews about the noise, but noise isn’t an issue for me so don’t let that deter you."

"I have been skeptical about moving to DC for a while now but I think it actually might happen soon! I took a tour at this facility on October 19th and Oriana was nothing but the best. She showed me 3 different apartments which all were stunning with glorious views. Oriana was very enthusiastic about showing me my next potential apartment and I can tell she loves her job! Her knowledge about the Navy Yard area made it very evident that she knows how to pitch a strong sale. Her touring is a 10/10 and I am strongly considering coming back to close a deal before the end of the year."
