"My wife and I are currently renewing our lease. We have lived there 8 months and we love it for the most part. Great Area, Parking lot is Rough sometimes with ubers and Lifts blocking the exit when I try to go to work. Staff is very helpful and understanding and genuinely nice people. Highly recommend as long as you are understanding when it comes to neighbors. We had one scenario where the people above us were moving stuff around for a week straight at about 1-3 am. Other than that, we have loved every minute here. No problems living here have came from the apartments or Staff, just residents (Very Minimal), which is normal."

"We lived here at Bren mar for 8 months. Property managers worked with us to extend our stay due to our new townhouse not being ready on time. We originally did 7 months short term but ended up staying extra month. Management did their best to help us staying extra month even though our unit was sold to a new tenant. We kept our unit cleaned and got our deposit back. Which I was very happy with. As far as apartment itself was a nightmare. Walls are really,really thin..you can hear everything from your upstairs,next door...you can hear them sneezing,that's how thin these walls are... we hated it...Location is great but we will never live here again."

"My experience so far at Bren Mar has been great. I am sad that i am leaving. I used to live here 5 years ago with my roommate and came back to rent this place myself 2 years now. So you can sense how great my experience has been so far and how i like living here.It is a quiet neighborhood and very safe. One of the things i like is their swift response to fixing things in case anything breaks. Kudos to the maintenance crew. I also like that parking is less of a hassle because of plenty of spaces. It is close to 1-95 and 15 minutes drive to DC. I like the fact that, they are strict in ensuring people pick after their dogs. The place is very clean and they have housekeepers who clean everyday. Shout out to the team for making sure my voice is heard when i raise any concern. Thank you team."

"UPDATE: Sure enough, Bren Mar Apts stole from me on my deposit. They deducted $200 for normal wear and tear to 'clean carpet' that had 0 stains AND they promise a FREE carpet clean every year that I never took and they never respond to anyway. Glad I have pictures of my move out and I'm headed to court and the VA Housing Board against these cheaters. Pay no attention to the lip service response below; they NEVER actually reached out to me and I didn't expect them to. You've been warned of the truth!!! Doesn't get much worse than this place! I'm not sure why these buildings aren't condemned??? You can hear EVERY single thing in the apartment above you...it really sounds like the ceiling is falling in and anything else that the tenant is doing. Management is a bunch of liars and had the lying nerve to say 'it's only a few floor boards' and LIED that they were replacing them!!!??? LOL Faith Shumate...LIAR. They never keep employees because they force them to put on a fake front for units that should be demolished. The front security door was jerked open everyday by somebody. Reports to the office; they LIED and said they checked it and it was ok. They NEVER checked anything; I know because I lived right next to the door and was home during COVID. By the time I left; they door was jerked open and the lock jimmied and pried open. Did they even bother to check...NO! The final straw is the property manage Sakinah Savoy LYING again that they are taking $400 of my deposit for carpet and bathroom clean??? The carpet was cleaned and had normal wear & tear (MAYBE) and the bathroom was re-painted. SO...I KNOW that's a lie!!! The good thing is that I have pictures of everything. The management has always treated me (and other tenants) like 2nd rate citizens in the way they talk and LIE to you. Calls to Dwoskin Mgmt reveal that they hide behind voice mails, fail to return your calls, and also LIE. I'm glad that I know the law and I plan to use it, if they attempt to steal ANY of my deposit, as others have said right here in these reviews. MAY be cheaper than other places, but not the place for peace, quiet, and good management!"

"I just moved into this Community at Bren Mar and so far it's been good. The place and grounds are clean. The staff is friendly and all know me by name. The area is quiet and not that busy, the only action I saw that caught my attention is the activity at the near by Elementary school. The parking is ok but between 4pm and 430pm near one of the buildings, you can’t get a parking space because the parents use the apartments parking lot to park and wait for their kids to get off from the school. ***My major Concern here is the Lost/Stolen*** Packages, yes many packages that gets delivered here goes MISSING! They all need to be delivered at the main building so we can pick them up and to sign for them so the right person receives their packages. Someone should really look into that ASAP! Maybe have a concierge be in charge of the deliveries. ***Other than that It's close to a major shopping area and Mall(Springfield Center Mall) about a 5-7 minute drive and the commute to DC is between 20 to 25 minutes tops with traffic!"
