"Omg!! The Moxy Richmond Downtown is a vibe!! First of all, the bar is attached to the check in desk; like what!? And WHITNEY, our bartender, was such a breath of fresh air!! Amazing energy, gave us great recommendations and her drinks….were soooooo fire, especially the Lemon Drop and a special birthday shot she made for me ; )!!! The rooms were different but super dope conceptually! Would stay here again for sure!!!"

"This was a new experience as a loyal Marriott traveler. This isn't a great hotel for the business traveler. There was no closet and only 3 hangers to hang on pegs on the wall. There isn't a desk that is adequate for doing work in the room. There are many things that I could comment on but the bottom line is that this hotel didn't fit my needs for this trip, but it wasn't because it's a bad hotel; it was because it was a bad match. Under different conditions I could see myself enjoying the themed lobby areas and the casual experience that this hotel offers. It was clean, had friendly staff and has good location for where I was working."

"Great location, cute trendy vibes, and outstanding staff. Perfect for a short stay when you just need a comfortable place to sleep and you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room. The bar has great drinks and the staff is super friendly, and the lobby lounge also has comfortable seating, games, and a couple of nice tables if you do need to get a bit of work done (which came in handy since the room doesn't really have hang out or working space). Would not recommend if you plan to spend a lot of time hanging out or trying to get work done in your room, but as long as you know what you are booking it is a great place!"

"We had a great one night stay here at the Moxy. I feel like a lot of the negative reviews don’t really understand the brand. You get a small room without the grime-ridden in-room coffee maker and microwave. The aesthetic is very modern and hipster. The hallways are dark and neon signs are aplenty. It’s a great spot for a night or two trip when you’re looking for a nice place to sleep. Appreciated the ‘free’ drinks with check in and the staff were all very friendly. Room was clean and quiet. The pillows in-room weren’t my favorite, but certainly not knocking a star off for that. Would certainly recommend to anyone coming to RVA for quick wedding, concert, etc. trips if you look at the website for more than 2 seconds and have an understanding what you’re coming for."
