"Really mixed view Travelled from Scotland. The location is great and food & beverage facilities were good with some really good members of staff, in particular Adela. Unfortunately, that was the only positive. Front desk staff rude, abrupt and ineffective. Room felt like a broom cupboard, dark, dingy and dirty (photo’s - earplug was a previous customers found in the room!) Electrics were faulty. Complained to front desk who didn’t even respond with a cleaner, let alone address our complaints or concerns. Have messaged Bret at the hotel directly twice since the stay and while he acknowledged the email, had no response. For a mid range Hilton, truely not worth the money, avoid."

"Great hotel, great staff, centrally located. Canopy by Hilton is located in the heart of Embassy Row - the Australian embassy is directly across the street. The location is central to almost all of central DC - you can easily walk to the White House, Smithsonian and Capitol from here. Lots of good restaurants and bars nearby as well. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The front desk staff seems a bit lost, but the remainder of the staff is top notch. Freddie at the hotel bar is one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered in a hotel. Pro tip: If you like a late night drink, try Black Whiskey, a short five minute walk away. It's a locals drinking spot that has a lot of character but not many tourists."

"This place was absolutely amazing!! The room was very immaculate, bathed was on the small side with just the toilet and shower but the shower was amazing!! The lighted vanity was great for makeup application. The bed was sooooooo comfy! Omg!! Very cozy room indeed!! The lobby has the cutest bar/restaurant set up and it was a very social area, met some nice people. The downside to this bar was the burger I ordered. I usually order medium rare so IF someone is not great with cooking a burger it will still come out medium because most people tend to overcook their meats. The bartender suggested I get it medium instead and of course it came out dry and tasteless. The bartender asked if I wanted to send it back but unfortunately I was starving from being on the road all day and I really needed to eat. It was the worst burger I had in a long time and the fridge were under cooked as well. My friend got the pizza which was a much better choice! The service was still amazing and drinks were nice. The other downside was the noise within the room, we were in 305 and you could hear the elevator going up and down the entire time, made the area by the door and bathroom shake. You got used to it but the walls are thin unfortunately. Aside from that valet was great, staff was great place was amazing!! Location was perfect!! I'll be back!!"

"Wonderful, quaint hotel. The lobby and interior are tastefully done. Since our stay was the weekend after Thanksgiving, it was perfectly quiet for us. Each employee was pleasant and knowledgeable. I'd definitely stay here again. Restaurants were within 10 minutes away."

"The hotel is listed as a 3* property and it lives up to it. It is more of a budget style hotel in a convenient and now up and coming neighborhood. Our room was one of the largest and could use a good deep cleaning although on the surface, it was OK. Housekeeping was a bit spotty and missed cleaning our room one day. The breakfast in the restaurant was good and fairly priced but leave plenty of time for the very slow service. I use the Hilton chain often and my experience with this and other Canopy hotels tells me to keep my expectations low."
