"I was initially impressed with the appealing discounts offered by GEICO. However, my experience took a negative turn due to unexpected additional billing related to the driving score system. Despite maintaining what I believe to be safe driving habits, such as avoiding hard braking and not handling my phone, I was perplexed to receive a $114 bill attributed solely to my driving score just for 45 days. I may received another one in the next 45 days. In an attempt to understand the rationale behind this unexpected charge, I contacted customer service. Unfortunately, the explanations provided were vague and unsatisfactory. I was simply told that the additional bill was due to my driving score without further clarification on the specific factors that contributed to this cost. For future and potential customers of GEICO, please be mindful of the possibility of encountering unanticipated fees and potentially unclear billing practices. A seemingly great initial deal may be overshadowed by subsequent costs. I would also encourage GEICO to enhance transparency and provide detailed information regarding the calculation of driving scores and their impact on billing to avoid future customer confusion and dissatisfaction."
"I’ve been a GEICO customer for nearly 14 years. In the last six months, they’ve gone from the best to the worst. They’ve debited my bank account for premiums three times the normal amount without my authorization. They’ve demanded exorbitant premiums in subsequent months, also three times my normal monthly rate. I’ve had no claims that would explain them screwing around with my premiums. I wasted two hours on the phone today talking with their customer service reps who were no help whatsoever. All they do now is regurgitate what their computer decides I should be charged = worthless. The reps think it’s fine that their computers bill me the normal rate one month, three times the rate the next month, normal the next month, a simply weird figure the next month, and no bill the next month. Warren Buffett should be embarrassed. So I called Mr. Buffett at his office in Omaha. He refused my call as a matter of his policy, and my call was redirected to GEICO’s President’s office, in which no one answered. I was left to a voice mail hole. Mr. Buffett should be doubly embarrassed. It’s now no wonder to me why Berkshire Hathaway’s stock is in the tank. Meanwhile, I’ll be shopping for an insurance company that can still figure 2+2=4."
"I have only been with them a few months. That is a reason I didn't give a 5... so far I have really enjoyed the easy of getting insurance and the price is right"
"Would have stayed with Geico but they wanted to go up on auto policy with no accidents and clean driving record, said it was because I moved And it was a less populated area but they claimed they paid out more claims in that area, people shouldn’t have to pay more for other’s mistakes. (Not fair) a good rep would have reviewed policy and driven history and based that on what you pay not some statistical chart that shows we charge more for certain areas. And tried to keep their clients rather than jacking up rates for clean driving records, think about this people when shopping for auto insurance, it’s all about the dollar and most want tell you it’s negotiable and try to lock people into higher rates cause it’s required by law to have and insurance companies take advantage of that. The commercial on tv stating people waste billions on car insurance every year, I believe it !! There being taking advantage of , just like healthcare."
