"It’s currently 5am on a Saturday and the fire alarm has been going off for 30 minutes. I wish I could say this was a rare occurrence, but because we are connected to the Walmart below, when their alarm goes off, ours does too. This happens 1-2x a month. Update: just for reference it is now 2:30 am on a Thursday and the alarm is going off again 3 weeks later. Who needs a good nights sleep right?"

"I have lived at Fort Totten Sqaure Since 2021. I wanted to leave a review for the afternoon concierge, Colin. He always answers any questions a resident may have, and if he doesn't have the answer, he makes sure to find it. He always seems to be genuine when he assist myself and any other resident. He doesn't have any bad habits, and always treats everyone with respect. I believe he is the perfect addition to the team and I appreciate all his efforts."

"Very bizarre application process where it seems as if they just want your financial docs for their own review? They tell you that a third party will review them, but that is a lie. Apartments looked fine, leasing office wasn't the nicest to work with though."

"Been here for about 4 years total. Great place and great staff especially the Leasing Agent David Daniels who's been quite helpful with all my leasing and living needs while I was there. Great human and asset to JBG Smith (Ft Totten's owners). The general staff are one of the highlights of this apt. But I am gonna have to reduce this to a 1 Star experience with the moving out piece. It's been terrible. They use borderline "I can't believe this is legal" legal tactics if you have to break your lease early. You must give 60 days notice and pay twice your rent upfront to let you go, or give 60 days continue to pay your rent until someone comes thru to take over. There's no if, ands or buts. I've been here for a while paying faithfully but when I ask for consideration as I need to leave early, no consideration - pay 5.5k to break or be on the hook legally. They'll remind you even when you're not arguing with them that you signed a legal contract (that's designed for them to win at the end). And if you can't afford it , boo hoo to you. Your credit will see a flamethrower or worse. Read the lease! Don't get screwed by these guys if you think you have to leave early. Also JBGSMITH is selling the building. Also someone got shot in the apt complex. Enjoy"
